Many who were once vibrant soldiers, today languish in a shadow existence. They are out of church, disconnected from their former passion and sick in body and soul. The ongoing political debate and demonstrations have only added to the crisis. The conflicting opinions of church leaders leave the army of God baffled and vulnerable.
The problem is, with all the anger, division, loud perversion, and persecution, Christian teachers find their instructive messages woefully inadequate. What happened? The answer is…life. Life happened, and it is gripping believers with fear. This is a new kind of fear coming from the screaming villains, who now have an out-sized influence.
The church in America needs a terrifying collision with the Glory of God. But right now we are awash in ‘advisory sermons.’ The titles are similar and predictable: “How to handle fear, uncertainty, finances, relationships, marriage, and children.” We are drowning in whiteboards, blackboards, statistics, PowerPoint Presentations, props, and illustrations.
We’ve been taught to death. We need to pour gasoline on what we’ve been taught and light it on fire.
Happy-face sermons do not give believers the power they need to overcome in a time like this. What is happening now runs clear off the over-optimistic maps drawn in pulpits. Tragedies can uproot neat formulas like a palm tree in a hurricane. Hip theories will collapse like a brick house in an earthquake.
Leaders have brought a lot of this on themselves. The culture has changed dramatically in the last few months—but the American pulpit has not.
Why are we surprised that modern believers suddenly need more? The power that could answer a thousand questions and extinguish a myriad of personality ills has been ushered out of church.
Closing the altars, ordering people to tone it down, and focusing on recovery programs indeed brought in a crowd. However, what is the end game if the crowd leaves as weak as they came—and in some cases weaker—without power to face the culture of a nation gone berserk?
Paul’s cure was simple: an undeniable encounter with the fire of God…”that your faith should not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:5).
The answer for conquering fear today is to burn it out! Just for shock value, I’ll use this phrase…perfect love casts out fear but so does perfect fear. No doubt many will think it is crazy to take a wonderful verse like 1 John 4:18: “perfect love casts out fear” and mess it up. But I am not messing it up I am fulfilling it!
PERFECT FEAR DOES INDEED CAST OUT FEAR! We have downplayed and even banned something that Christians desperately need…A TERRIFYING COLLISION WITH THE GLORY OF GOD.
Go back with me to 758 B.C. Isaiah the prophet enters the Temple in fear for his life. The tide of public opinion has turned against him. The death of his friend and protector King Uzziah has put the finishing touch on 5 years of ministry that seemingly had no impact on Israel, and Isaiah felt like he had just been treading water. His despair is now complete. He enters the Temple looking for comfort from God.
He kneels in prayer, resting his elbows on the altar seeking solace from the storm. Instead, the building starts quaking, knocking his elbows so that he is now punching himself in the face.
He looks up and sees Seraphim: Angels of fire, fire that burns hotter and brighter than any sun. They tower over him from either end of the altar.
Their voices roar, vibrate, boom and dislodge the mighty beams of the Temple! “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, IS THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. THE WHOLE EARTH IS FILLED WITH HIS GLORY!” Back and forth, again and again, they blast this mighty proclamation until Isaiah could not bear the fright!
The mighty God Himself stands before Isaiah unfurling the indescribable train of His Glory! The prophet convulses beneath the weight of glory. From the very core of his being came an all-consuming cry… “WOE IS ME!”
The startling effect of the Glory of God—a wonder-working fear—overrules human fear.
No threat matters now. This demonstration of Glory conquered his suffering. Isn’t this exactly what Paul meant?: “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18). Of course, Paul is speaking of the final GLORY…but it is a part of our birthright to have earthly collisions of glory: “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all” (1 Corinthians 12:7). An overarching, fear-destroying encounter is the legacy of every child of God.
“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.”
The twelve disciples were in a boat out on the Sea of Galilee, gripped by fear of the storm. But when Jesus rebuked the storm their fear of drowning was replaced with an awestruck wonder. They exclaimed: “what manner of man is this that even the wind and the sea obey Him!?”
We are told that General Patton won battles because his men were more afraid of him than the Germans. Again, ours is not a negative fear, but the holy awe born from the manifestation of God’s glory.
This truth reinforces the fact that “Perfect love casts out Fear” because love disciplines, love gives us what we need… and what we need today is not a subtle pat on the head. We need a fear-killing encounter! Solomon said in Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”
Why are we blocking people from experiencing the fire of God? Why would we keep this miracle from people? I am talking about fire—fire that keeps them from the evil one—fire that forges a reverence, and turns them into your best soldiers
We should have made room and time for people to be so filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit and fire that they are equipped to prevail against all enemies. If we had, we would not be nursing hordes of Christians on life support. We would have an unstoppable army!
There is still time to reverse course. If you have never been drenched by God then obey Him and seek to be overcome by His Glory. If you have received a filling of the Holy Spirit in the past, now is the time to receive FRESH FIRE!

The main thing we need more than anything else is an encounter with the Holy one, and filled with his precious Holy Spirit and Fire for he is the answer for all this that is going on, and he is the one their trying to stop the most, the Fire preachers are targeted, because they no if they push the Holy Spirit out of the Church, there goes the anointing, the power and presence, the healing, miracles signs and wonders, their boldness and fight, no more preach fresh manna, but stale bread, they picked out not what God wanted the people to get, not fresh bread from him, but stale bread from them, if bread at all, Christ is pushed out as the head and man takes over, we lose the true leadership of the head, and the true teacher the precious Holy Spirit, and our comforter, healer, deliver and guide, God calls them, fills them with Fire and they go to school and lose him as leader and they become the leader and the head of the man made church, that teach a form, but really will not even let Jesus in, for in Rev. Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.He is talking to the church, they will not let him in, they use this verse for soul winning, but he is talking to the church they will not let him in man has taken control, just as a group wants control of the nation, and just look where the church is, people can not stand because of mans teachings instead of Gods, fear has gripped a nation, that God promises if we just Repent and turn from our wicked ways, humble our selves and pray and seek his face and he would heal our land,2 Chr 7:14 so whats the problem, we must not be Repenting, again he took me to heaven and said the Church is NOT READY and said all this is going on in my Chruch and their not Ready, 2 Cor. 12:20-21 For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:

The God who answers by fire, He is the Lord God. The kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. The real gospel is the power of God that dynamites you into His Kingdom and turns the world upside down.

You are so right, the fear of the Lord has disappeared. I just read a post from a pastor saying this virus is not from the devil, and surely God would not put this on his people, really! We just need to remember love wins.
What kind of hope is that? It’s a false hope, he doesn’t know the word of God and is sending people out with a false sense of security. This is so sad, not giving the truth, no meat to mature into a Christian that sold out for the Lord.

Mario, I want to thank you for your obedience to the Lord. It is obvious you are serving His mandate
to the church ! I am even older then you Mario and 4th generation Pentecost. I, along with you have seen (too much) and heard (too much) over the many years. You are bringing such an awakening to me as I am coming out of my own pathetic slumber. During these difficult times with the virus all around us and the law requiring us to remain shut in our homes in Dallas, TX I am so grateful I have this opportunity to pray. As Rees Howells said, if prayer does not work, then begin to intercede. It is obvious this is the time for intercession beginning first, with my own repentance and humbling myself before our Lord and then push through and do not give up until…..His Glory comes. I along with millions of other believers must have a ‘fresh encounter with the Holy Spirit’. I need to be “filled”!
I know I cannot demand this of Him as I do not want to insult Him! I just know along with you, that UNLESS this happens that dI and millions of others will be doomed and our nation of United States. I stand with you Mario and your incredible boldness along with our wonderful President Trump. Mario, please do to give up, do not retreat! I am sure this has not been easy for you and your wife at all. Your boldness and messages must come forth and I believe you are positioned with the “right heart” of proclaiming all of this through “love”. I do have your book and read it ! WOW!!
That was the way Sunday Night Services at our church used to be, back when churches still had Sunday Night Service. I could only go at that time because I worked every Sunday and there was no Saturday night service then. I absolutely loved those services. The power of God was on display and the Holy Spirit was allowed to have His way. That is what church has to get back to in order to turn the mess of this country around. We need to stop trying to control Him. We need to lose our fear of what people think and seek more of the fear of God Almighty. Come, Holy Spirit, come!
I think you would agree that the “pulpit” is no longer in the church building all that much. It is in the world being often expressed by Significant Kingdom entrepreneurs etc. Hopefully my orphan days are over as I find my key relational connections in the Kingdom of God in this world. What I see about this virus is chemical warfare by China and the cabals of the world. Yes, we do have to take precautions and obey the laws of the land, but if this goes past the middle of April, I would be suspicious of the corruption, the Democrat (Communist) Party of the US who want to silence the Church. Is this a time the Church will have to go underground in America? If we don’t repent as a nation and be given His mercy for the shedding of our children’s blood and pedophile sacrifices that flows from East to West, their blood is on our hands. May God help us.

You are soooo right!!!!! I’m sorry to say most Christians are in their own little world and have absolutely no idea about the glory of His presence.
I just watched an excellent YouTube video from the McFiles/Chris McDonald/Mark Taylor, addressing the “Ilumicorp pastors”, the “Evangelical Immigration Table”, 501c3s, & the propagation of the churches. “When you control the head, you control the body.” It makes it all come together and makes sense out of all this chaos and hostility from “other believers”.
Separating the sheep from the goats, the wheat from the tares.

Our mission, should we accept it – is to humble ourselves before the Lord God, our Maker, and seek His face like never before, repent, and pray for those in authority over us!
“My sheep hear My voice, and they know Me.”
The Lord said to someone: “Tell them to get their temples clean and full of my Holy Spirit. Only with my help can they endure to the end. Never forget how much I love you.” During this time of judgment on the earth, repentance and preparation for what is coming next is expected of everyone. This is a crisis of change. And after it is passed sometime in late spring or so, then finally the Lord will bring in a healing and restoration revival so many have prayed for. God will show Himself strong, and everything that has been eaten away and lost will be restored. Mario has expressed this in more ways you can count over the years. It’s finally going to come.
desertsream, I think the churches prayers can shorten the days of the pandemic. All spring is too long to endure it, you think? But I agree the best thing to happen is mass praying an repenting that could give us all a big healing revival. Jesus Christ can heal this plague.
