It is clear that, as the madness spreads and the church just wrings its hands, it is time for the eagles to leave the turkey-yard. You know who you are, you who are an eagle. There’s a fire inside you that you can’t put out. You are ruined for ‘Church-As-Usual-Incorporated.’ For too long you’ve been told to be a good little birdie. “Don’t ruffle any feathers!” But you just can’t stomach the stale kernels they toss to you. You must have fresh meat.
All around you, the turkeys peck at the ground. But all you can see are the clouds and the sky, where you know you belong. You long to be home, where the glory is. Your place is alongside the heroes of faith that changed the course of nations. “Survival-mode” teaching sickens you. The idea that tepid happiness is the goal enrages you. 
You made the mistake of looking at old youtube.com videos. You saw Oral Roberts. You saw Kathryn Kuhlman. You saw Smith Wigglesworth. You jumped up and screamed, “But, where are the miracles today!?” (check out my blog, The Price of God’s Miracle Working Power: https://wp.me/p1vrzp-53e ) You made the mistake of listening to old preaching tapes, where you heard men and women preaching holy fire! They didn’t do monologues. They didn’t do stand-up comedy. They pulled the pin out of Bible verses, and flung them like a grenade to explode into the souls of their audience.
You heard people sobbing at the altars. You heard them linger until something real and lasting transformed them. Then something really painful happened to you…you looked at your generation. You saw the national cancer of wickedness. You saw the insane brainwashing. You saw the limp-wristed tactics of the church. You became like David as he stared at the paralyzed army of Israel, cowering before a defiant Goliath. 
You cried, “WHY DOESN’T SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING?” So, now that you realize that the ‘SOMEBODY’ IS YOU, it is too late for you. The die is cast. You’ve gone too far to turn back. You now know too much. You feel like you should leave before you hurt someone… You remember the verse, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles.” (Isaiah 40:31). Prayer is your escape from the prison yard of compromise and mediocrity. We’re not talking about the ‘gobble-gobble prayers’ you heard in the yard—we’re talking about falling before God and waiting upon Him until you come forth as pure gold.
What are we talking about? We are talking about prayer that heaven can’t resist, and hell can’t stand. The kind of prayer that breaks the grip of ancient demonic strongholds. Prayer that causes students begin to weep on campus, even though they do not know why. Prayer that fills people with the Holy Spirit. Prayer that removes fear, and installs unshakable courage to tell a generation the genuine Good News: the mighty Gospel—which is the unapologetic, undeniable, unstoppable power of God! 
Eagles dare while turkeys stare! Eagles are born out of prayer. They spring forth from the hand of God, fully convinced of their destiny and their goal. Let mistaken millennials protest against the AR-15. You take hold of John 17:15, “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world, but that you protect them from the evil one.” That is your battle cry! You don’t want out. You know the Lord Jesus will keep you from the evil one! You are ready to soar into any nest of evil and destroy the works of the devil. Where eagles gather, power is present.
Where eagles gather, the deep purposes of Almighty God are revealed. Where eagles gather, there’s no self-pity, no encounter sessions, and no hiding in your ‘safe-space.’ When turkeys are transformed into eagles, they are equipped, they are ignited, and they are fitted for war. Eagles must have a challenge. They yearn for a cause that will summon up all of their strength, talent, and time. They want something they can easily imagine doing for the rest of their lives. It’s time for you to fly out of the turkey yard, and never look back!

Oh MARIO, how this word calls out to me…..I feel like I have been infused with strength, in the midst of my physical weakness. I have always loved Isaiah 40–those verses. Each time I have read it often throughout the past 30 years—when it comes to the end….I always close and say: “Oh Lord, help me to wait upon you.”
Early last year, I wrote a quote on goodreads.com that included ” rising upon the storms and trials of life on a wing and a prayer.” Someone erased that quote. I have been praying that some that were erased that were so timely will be put back up. IT IS ALL IN GOD’S HANDS.
I can really relate to the power of the great and mighty eagle, because Daddy, Mama and I lived out West in Tucson for several years. We would ride out into the desert see the Magnificence of the eagle SOARING EFFORTLESSLY. It has stayed with me for my entire lifetime. I wrote a letter of introduction to a local pastor sharing a snippet of my history, yes, I met Oral, and yes I met Kathryn (prefer Kathryn), and yes I have seen and been a part of miracles.
This pastor and others in the Albany, GA area was I had to be willing to submit to spiritual authority. And, in the past I’ve found that that meant, “Sit Down, Shut Up and pay your tithe” needless to say I didn’t return his email.
So, your post really hit the nail on the head…

I became a Christian March 13, 2011. I sat in church for 10 years and in 2019 I asked myself, is this all there is. When my Church was shut down I felt the Lord told me to learn about Him during the shut down and I did. My Church reopened with the service held in the parking lot ( and still in the parking lot today). I asked myself again, is this all there is to you Father. I cried out to God many times what else is there to you. God is opening paths to me and I am attending a new bible believing, spirit filled church. I am still learning about being spirit filled and a new area God’s profits. The Church I attended taught speaking in tongues, profits, and apostles went away after the last disciple died. I believe the Holy Spirit led me to your ministry and others who are helping me to learn the truth about God. I am leaving the Turkey Yard.

Amen men your right I did watch them and read Smith Wigglesworth books and want what he had, and to honor and do as the Holy Spirit said like Kathryn Kuhlman, and others, for I know a God who can do anything even though I need a touch in my body right now, but I know God is going to do it, because he said he would, and I know about the power and presence, so I don’t think he can, I know he can, and the way they play church today makes me sick, we dishonor the very name of God by the way some act, not counting his calling, for one’s he called want to do his will more than anything it’s not about them, but what they can do for his kingdom, I told him when he called me, help me Lord serve your people well, and sorry but I am not a doughnut shop or candy store I don’t serve sweets all the time, meat is what makes us strong and we need strong men and women today, when have to many that just want to serve up sweet’s so people will serve them and love them, when they should be serving meat and potato’s and building a mighty army of God, they tell you to be sweet so people will love you, and you will not offend, well sorry but the word of God offends if we preach it, and I had rather offend you than God, and if my offending you keeps you from going to hell then its worth it, Jesus offended that why they killed him, even though he laid down his life they thought they killed him, but they want to stone him many time’s, we need a few preachers willing to be stoned today, for the preaching of the truth of the word, we have lost the power and presence of God in the Church and lost this nation to evil, because they come in and told us of a love thats not God’s, but allows sin and evil, and ran the Holy Spirit off, and the power and presence left, neutering us, taking our voice, and they still sa be sweet, be kind, an army that goes in to war doesn’t sweet talk you, neither are they sweet and kind, this is a battle that many have united with the enemy in, and it’s past time we chose one side or the other, and stop trying to fight on both side’s, we pray for God to help the devils side, because we think for some reason the devils are our brethern and sister, LET ME SAY SOMETHING CLEAR, IF THEY ARE NOT TRULY BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS THEY ARE NOT PART OF THE FAMILY OF GOD, AND WE NEED TO LEARN THIS, You don’t claim to be of God and back devils and abominations, thats an oxymoron, we are so deceived today, let me tell you something there is evil wrapped in human skin part fallen angel and human, and they will never be saved, they are sent t destroy every thing of God and Gods creation, but the Chuirch doesn’t know them, they pray for them and thats helping the enemy win, with out the Holy Spirit’s discernment you can’t tell real evil, even though today it’s as plain as the nose on our face’s, and a blind man could see, but most of the Church can’t, they can’t tell evil when it is spoken right from a devils mouth, and thats sad, proof we need change bing time from with in, and that change is to REPENT AND TURN FROM OUR WICKED WAY’S AND BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND FIRE, WE HAVE TO MANY TRYING TO DO A GODLY THING IN THE NATURAL, AND GODS TRUE WORK IS SUPERNATURAL, AND MUST BE DO UNDER THE INFLUENCE F THE HOLY SPIRIT, OR WE WILL ALL PAY BIG TIME. to Roger most people are too comfortable to change, they may not like what is happening so they talk and vent that goes nowhere. Until action is taken instead of empty words, it will get worse, then it will be too late to do anything. perhaps the Lord is waiting to see what true believers are made of.

You are a great encouragement, a voice the body so desperately needs. I am 73 and yet feel I am just on the cusp of my destiny, born for such a time as this. My youth is renewed like the eagles’ and I’m ready to fly, already testing the rising air currents for altitude.

I have a confession to make. I woke up this morning in physical pain but more so in the Spirit. Husband had set the alarm clock to go to the turkey yard but I did NOT want to go…..SO….I laid there and prayed. I don’t think he realized that I was awake so we did not go. He is content with 1% watered down milk teaching while I am on fire and SO NEED to be in a church that honors the Holy Ghost and the very presence of Jesus Himself…I am so SICK of the lip service! I struggle with pastors who refer to themselves as motivational speakers…who teaches that we can never get free from sin…that we will struggle until He returns. If there is no freedom in Christ…then just why did He go to that cross? To me, the Holy Spirit is more real than the air I breathe. He indeed has given His own the POWER…I was a recipient of that same power when I realized that He was a gift from Jesus and all I knew was that I wanted ALL that He had to give me! I have been wild ever since. In short…this Eagle is ready to soar! The “business as usual” makes me ill and I get nauseated just thinking about going. I go periodically to appease hubby…but would much rather find a church of eagles! Streaming SOLID teaching of the LIVING WORD is the only source of solid meat that I get in addition to my own secret place time and studying the word with help of the Holy Spirit! I love your message Mario…EAGLES UNITE AND SOAR!

Amen to this. I don’t understand the Christians who dismiss anything Supernatural. They say they believe in a Supernatural God, Resurrection, etc, but refuse to believe that He is doing anything Supernatural today.
I had a 20-year friendship end over this. The man was a scientist, a Creation scientist. Definitely saved, I had no doubt about that, but He could not accept that the Gift of Tongues, or even the Gift of Healing, were for today. His wife was a little more open. Maybe some people are just too smart for their own good, I don’t know. But one day, He went too far in insulting Pentecostals and it ended our friendship.
I guess I’d have to say he was legalistic. Sometimes you just have to let people go. I was not going to argue about what I know to be true, and have experienced myself.
We are in such a day that people need to see the Power of God alive and at work. This is a dazzled, worldly, and doubting society and population. They need to experience the Power, Glory, and the Unfathomable Love of God.

I find it incredibly discouraging that our ‘Christian’ television stations are fawning after a nonelected leader, and failed to cover the death of Carman, a minister of the Gospel. One put a blip on their webpage, but when it came time to cover the actual story on the air, they chose to ignore a man who laid down his life, had evidence of over a million saved that he knew of, and never stopped warning them of just building their empires instead of putting their cash back into saving souls. That’s messed up and where we are today. If building empires is more important that winning the lost, then how on earth can we be surprised that our nation has had its election stolen, babies are killed, children are trafficked, and entire lives are ruined. Wake up church and get out of the turkey yard! I’ve been hearing many prophecies lately about how all of these individuals have been warned and have not listened. God isn’t done with revealing the wrong in the world so just hang on and get out of the turkey yard as Mario has said and ask the Lord to reveal to you where He’s leading you. This is great – God is moving, drawing people to Himself and those willing to mount up with the wings of an eagle will be used!
The bad thing about being in the turkey yard is that Thanksgiving is coming.
I went to the Saturday evening Turkey-yard “experience” at my old home church yesterday. I remembered all the fiery sermons that had been preached there by great men of God, and my two physical healings when I stood so many years ago where the altars used to be. The sermon was okay, but the church felt empty–not in numbers but in power. There was no manifest presence of God.
I can’t find that “experience” anywhere anymore.

There is a HUGE difference between a church and a religious gathering. A true church is reaching out to the world with a pure gospel delivered with a generous helping of the Love of Jesus. The turkey yard is full of judgment and polluted water, nice sounding stories and no concerns for the lost. The slaughter is coming to the turkey yard, get out now…you’re late for the door!
This really touched me. I have felt this way for a long time and have about quit going to church because that is what it is like. I know now that I cannot go back. However I feel so lost and desperate. There is no spirit filled church within driving distance from me and I don’t know anyone locally who feels this way. I have been to Latin America 5 times and seen too much to be satisfied with religion. I went to Lakeland and other conferences but just can’t stand anymore Church as usual. I don’t know how I am going to do this but things have got to change. I just can’t take anymore religion. I am too hungry for a move of God.

I could comment on every one of your blogs Brother Mario! I have been a follower of Christ for 51 years and have appreciated your ministry since then. There has not been nor will there ever be room for compromise in my life and that is why l love you and Mechelle and all of your staff and are daily in my EAGLE prayers. I am also extremely vocal and radical about what is happening in the body of Christ and take any and every opportunity to share my faith in Jesus Christ. But the platform that the Lord has given you makes my do my Jesus happy dance when I’m not on my knees praying. Satan had no idea what he did when he catapulted you into the political arena! You are an Evangelist who the darkness is petrified of and you have ignited a horde of mini Marios!!! I’m loving every minute of it and actually look forward to being 70 in April and am alive for such a time as this!!! Yes!!! Everything you wrote I agree with. My choices for church is only online right now because I stepped away from the church I was going to because they refused to stand up and even accepted those in the church that supported BLM. I live in Irvine, California and have been seeking The Lord for a church community. If you know of an AWAKE and Spirit Filled Church near my – I would love to know about it. God Bless You!!!
