I am hoping that God will hit them with a combination punch. A straight jab that will awaken anger over the spirit of death and despair that is suffocating the greatest nation on earth. Followed by a right hook that will disgust them into admitting they have been living in fear of what people think.
I want you to see Satan yelling, “Yo’ Mamma!” right at you. Pastors, I want you to burn all your books on church growth, and start praying against the sorry guru who suckered you into using their putrefying programs.
Get sick! Not with a virus, but with yourself. Sick for letting boards and deacons scare you. Sick because you continually fretted over who might get offended. Sick because you stare out at the parking lot, counting cars, instead of looking up to heaven. And sick of the sermons that seem as if they were designed for Big Bird and the Cookie Monster.
Yeah, I’ll say it: My cry is that when the doors of Spirit-filled churches reopen, they will leave Sesame Street and run back to Azusa Street.
Nothing in this blog is radical. Nothing in this blog is negative or divisive. The problem with me is that I have been around too long and have seen too much. There is nothing more dangerous than an individual who understands why they are a Pentecostal. There is no one more unstoppable than the person who has been baptized in the Holy Spirit and who has experienced the tongues of fire.
I want you to rage against limp-wristed preaching, fog machines, romantic lighting, and that atmosphere that’s about as life giving as the waiting room at a DMV.
A scourge from hell has attacked our nation! That is why we need heroes! Thank God for the first responders, the courageous nurses, and the doctors. Thank God for our President who has been valiantly battling the swamp creatures. But it is time for a new group of heroes to appear: Christians who are full of the fire of God!
The testimony of Azusa Street needs to hit us like a Mack Truck. William Seymour, who oversaw the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the turn of the century, had none of our advantages, but we have none of his results. The glory and presence of God turned a rundown hall into a magnet for the entire world. Today, that movement is 650 million strong.
Modern experts have tried to teach us how to trick people into coming to church, but at Azusa Street, they stampeded to the altar, drawn by God alone—without any tricks. Brother Seymour began the most powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit in modern history in an old rented building that was once a stable. It was so primitive that many times he would pray with his head hidden between two wooden milk crates that served as his pulpit. Then heaven would burst open and the presence of God would fall on those present. It wasn’t a choreographed meeting. It wasn’t a slick presentation. It was raw glory.
Don’t be the fool who says modern society is too sophisticated for Pentecost. “The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ…” (2 Corinthians 10:4,5 AMPLIFIED, 1974 ed.)
I love that translation! Destroying sophisticated arguments! Nothing new has come down the pike that can withstand the conviction of the Holy Spirit. The devil can’t form a weapon that will prosper against a truly Spirit-filled army.
Oh God, let it be! Let frustration build like magma in a volcano! Let the silliness of our human designs task us. Let our old sermon notes torture us. Awaken, O Lord, the greatest sleeping giant in the world—The American Spirit-filled church of Jesus Christ!

Thank you for your inspirational messages. I look forward to each message as it encourages and inspires me to keep seeking and praying for revival. You remind us that the battle belongs to Jesus Christ and that no weapon formed against Him will prosper. I do not read books, other than the Bible, anymore. I’m not super. Spiritual but II’m not a seeker sensitive pastor either. The day is coming when there is going to be a move of God in our midst based purely on the moving and power of a Holy Ghost out pouring. It won’t be a man manufactured move. Until then we pray and we preach the true gospel faithfully. Signs following, God’s plan for advertising His presence. will come soon, and with regularity, as we become like the church in the book of Acts. Soon there will be the Cedar Street revival!

I hope this wont offend you, but so many times I have wanted to share your blogs because I feel like you put things in to words really well, but because you are advertising your book below every blog you write, I feel its a distraction. I had someone tell me just the other day that they thought what you wrote was good but then they saw the ad to buy your book and they were offended and there went that. Prior to that person I had a pastor tell me he wouldnt read your blog because you are just trying to sell your books. Even if you dont get one cent of that book money, its a stumbling block to many because of all the gimmicks we have seen for decades, so perhaps you might be willing to move the book add to your website and not on your writing. Just a thought. Thank you for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Dear brother Mario, I salute you for your radical reproofs as God uses you to awaken the sleeping giant.
But I take issue with your statement that America is ‘the greatest nation on earth.’ If it were, Jesus, our Jewish Messiah, would be making ready to come to America. Such is not the case. Jesus will soon return to Jerusalem Israel, the greatest, in God’s eyes, nation on the earth. All other nations are servant nations, important and with specific callings and destinies, but not ‘greatest.’

President Donald J. Trump has, by God’s divine ordinance, been THE MOST important ally Israel has ever had and for this reason, God gave America these past four years to align with His end time plan.
We in North America (I’m Canadian) have missed this golden opportunity. So what will our sovereign God, our loving Father do now? Like any good father, He will discipline His children until we humble ourselves and repent.
Isaiah 57:15 is the remedy.

I’m totally with you dear brother. This morning I was reading in 1Kings 18:21 where Elijah asked, “how long will you be limping between two clefts? If Yahweh is Elohime, follow him. If Baal, go after him. (literal Hebrew translation). God has not changed since before Genesis and he will not change now. His gifts and calling are irrevocable. We have such a privilege to partner with him! Let’s stop asking him to bless us and start blessing him. XOD

The word you gave about judgement where preachers would disappear while they were speaking and influencers like Oprah Winfrey would be exposed? It started because we wanted to “accommodate” the lost into the churches and make the lost feel welcome. God does welcome all sinners but all repentant sinners– ones not “in your face” I am a homosexual and I want to murder babies…I will only join if you agree with my already sinner mindset. Nicky Gumble had it right with having people come to dinners to find out about the gospel, the discipleship and commitment to God and HIs ideals, morals and values. Then if you wanted to join a church you were baptized and agreed to worship with other believers. Now churches have invited the yeast of the world into the church and, we have instead of filling them with the yeast of faith, they have filled us with the yeast of world’s Nimrod mindsets. Only miracles, signs and wonders will bring the lost back and want them to follow biblical precepts that are so far from worldly ways that a strong outpouring of holiness can help us now.

You are right – this has been the nemesis of most churches we have visited. They are always “coming back to heart of worship”, but forget the power and connection to Almighty God through daily prayer and worship. Instruction in Righteousness is sadly lacking and many of God’s kids are still struggling with their own personal growth. I have my hands full encouraging and ministering to those who already have The Word, The Name and The Blood at their disposal, but can’t seem to tap in!
Thanks Mario, fasting and praying is the greatest reset for my spirit. I find myself in the very presence of God in the overflow, the power of the conviction are unbelievably wonderful. Please encourage the body of Christ to fast and pray and meditate in his word, and read blogs like yours. Thanks so much.
