A Trump loss the next election is too terrible to imagine. But even if he wins, we will desperately need a true revival in America. Tragically, the church doesn’t know the difference between true and false revival.
Many of the things the church does today simply do not matter. They don’t point in the trajectory of revival. In fact they point in the opposite direction. Many things done by churches are impressive, even successful—I am saying they will not save America
We know the times are evil. But what can we do about it? That’s the number one question I am asked. My answer is, “We need to stop toying, speculating, and paying lip service to revival. We need to seize a true revival.”
The real culprit today is false revival. There is untold damage done when we take a good meeting and market it as revival. To characterize a good meeting as revival is like filling a bath tub with salt water, and calling it the Pacific Ocean.
I am not telling you that your ‘good meeting’ is not true revival—because history and our culture are both telling you it is not. History says revival overflows church walls and makes deep impacts on society, which is not happening. And when our culture swats away our church meetings and continues to careen into deeper wickedness—it is telling us we are not in revival.
There is one thing—above all others—that is stopping true revival: We don’t have a pure motive. We want it for all the wrong reasons. If revival is our ticket to getting church growth, emotional experiences, self-promotion, formulas, and wealth, our prayers are like nuclear waste to God.
The most well known verse on revival begins with a huge ‘IF’: 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
IF you truly yearn for the miracle that would stop America’s slide into oblivion—IF you wish for an act of the Holy Spirit so real and widespread that it impacts crime, injustice, addiction, and despair—then listen to this lesson from history:
In 1904, American leaders were enthralled by the revival that was then taking place in Wales. Hundreds of thousands were converted, and the morals of the nation were transformed. American church leaders wanted a revival like that here. But they tried to buy it.
These enterprising pastors and businessmen invested in massive campaigns. They were dismal failures. So much so, that the very concept of revival fell into disfavor.
Two years later, they realized their mistake. When widespread brokenness gripped the leaders, aided by a pure motive, they cried out and heaven heard them. One of the catalysts to this awakening was a man named James Burns.
James Burns wrote a powerful book entitled “Revivals, Their Laws and Leaders.” In 1909 he wrote, “To the church, a revival means humiliation, a bitter knowledge of unworthiness and an open and humiliating confession of sin on the part of her ministers and people. It is not the easy and glorious thing many think it to be, who imagine it fills pews and reinstates the church in power and authority.
“It comes to scorch before it heals; it comes to condemn ministers and people for their unfaithful witness, for their selfish living, for their neglect of the cross, and to call them to daily renunciation, to an evangelical poverty and to a deep and daily consecration. That is why a revival has ever been unpopular with large numbers within the church. Because it says nothing to them of power such as they have learned to love, or of ease, or of success; it accuses them of sin, it tells them they are dead, it calls them to awake, to renounce the world and to follow Christ.”
America, at last, had found a pure motive for revival. New York, Chicago, Los Angeles (at Azusa Street), and many other cities saw amazing things. Denver, Colorado, and Portland, Oregon, which are currently bastions of marijuana, atheism, and rampant liberalism, shut down businesses at noon so everyone could go and pray. Crime dropped to virtually nothing. Bars sat empty, and millions went to prayer everyday across America.
Until our knees buckle beneath the horror of our nation’s sin and the blasphemy of our cheap grace fades away, our request for revival will be denied.
But I still feel faith for the church in America to turn around. More importantly, God holds out great hope to us. Let me share two things that forever killed my doubts about revival. One was a scripture, Matthew 12:20: “A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench, till He sends forth justice to victory.”
Jesus will not snuff out the least flicker of revival. When anyone asks for revival from a pure heart, God says, “Yes,” and begins the process. He takes you at your word.
The other thing that occurred was a revelation I received as I was standing at the beach and the gentle foam of the ocean lapped over my toes. The voice of the Lord said, “This gentle wave is the cousin of the tsunami.”
The smallest flame in the smallest church will not be quenched by Jesus. Given the proper opportunity, the Spirit of God will fan it into a raging fire of righteousness. The gentlest wave can grow into a tidal wave when anyone hosts within them the presence of God. But they must obey His step-by-step orders, and they must refuse to exploit what God is doing among them.
These two truths are resonating powerfully within me now. I want them to blow up in your spirit as well! Do you truly want revival? Then what are you waiting for?
You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13)

Read Mario’s Greatest Miracle Healing to encourage your Heart especially if “facing death according to the Doctor”. 12/28/2016 had friend dying and they went into reminding God of his Word, and rebuking mode and got in God’s face about his Word: Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good”? and I Corinthians 15:26 “the last enemy to be destroyed is death” and the friend reminded God about that and told God that if ALL the prophetic words that were given to them about their life were they truth or a lie because they had not fulfilled their call and destiny and what God had promised; the person is still on the Planet (note: the person has almost died number of times since then but reminds God of his WORD). Amen Brother, We need a heart change, full of repentance, when our heart’s brake into for the lost, when we want Jesus more than our next breath, and sin makes us sick, when we long for the true word of God and his presence more than anything, and pray like we never dreamed off fervently, and the stinch of our old self makes us sick, and the sweet smell of our Lord and savior’s presence is so sweet and the most precious thing on this earth to us, and we long for it, and souls to be won, and our back’s just about brake from the burden of the load for soul’s, and brokenness, from the sin of this world and self surrender to the Lord, then we will see true revival, 2 Chron 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Yes God wants to “See” Jesus “NOT” us as in any part of the Old creation subtlety presenting itself to God in His temple as in ones own Soul. This is vomit able!! When Phillip came to tell Jesus that the Greeks wanted to “See” Him Yes See Him!!! Therefore, let your food be the life of what you know, and rejoice in the power of obedience, but do not rejoice in what you know but cannot live. For the life is your soul’s bread, which crucifies the flesh and confounds all that runs before the cross. So let your labor and diligence be in that which presses into the heavenly life, and seeks a conformity to Christ in obedience to what you believe. Do not listen to that mind which would save your souls life as it is, and feed you as you are; but listen (in love) to that which separates you from self-life and changes you into the true image of the One you wait for from above.

The great move of God that began at the little Calvary Chapel church in Costa Mesa in the 1960’s was a Revival. We have seen it ; we have lived through it. No need to go back to Azusa Street to imagine what revival is. Our generation , now in our late fifties and older, remember and understand. There is no “conjuring up” true Revival. How did it come about? A group of women at that little church prayed. The pastor welcomed the dirty, barefoot, drug addled hippies in.
Who are the modern version of those hippies? Could it be the homeless, now flooding the cities of California? Could a mighty work of God begin with them? Could there be in their midst a preacher, waiting to be healed of his addiction and receive back his mental clarity, as Nebuchadnezzar did, who will stand up and spark Revival in the tent cities of Los Angeles or San Francisco? I am going to pray for such a man to arise, and for The saints of God to surround him and begin to lift up these poor confused men and women to the glory of God.

Where are the true saints of God who would be willing to mobilize and go into these homeless camps and enclaves to minister to the people there in the power of the Holy Ghost with signs and wonders following? If all we can do is drive by these despairing people and throw them a scrap of bread out of the windows of our BMW’s and Mercedes (Silicon Valley style) and do nothing else, what profit is that to us? Why not mobilize groups to go in to offer health supplies and prayer to these people at a minimum? Fresno to my knowledge at least is building mini dwellings for these people to live in if they meet certain conditions, why arent the larger cities of California following this example?
Remember the tortured demoniac, who hosted a legion of demons and was as crazy as they come. Jesus cast the demons out and restored that man, and sent him among the cities of the region to tell all what the Lord had done for him. I am certain men like this exist today, waiting desperately for the touch of the Son of God. A supernatural storm at sea did not deter Jesus from coming to him. Let us not be deterred either!

But could it be that revival will only come when pastors lay down their “idol” of massive church growth programs?and lay people lay down their “idol” of the need for going to one more church meeting to get another prophetic word?Maybe as well, when churches become havens for the downtrod and oppressed and not simply self indulgent easy believism clubs things will change?

Not only would new converts be exploited for gain, but it would also be like diving into the shallow end of the swimming pool for them.
They have held up revival, but their carnality is not going to stop it. The coming move of God will literally kill them without some kind of repentance because there are so many crooked ways that will be made straight.
A scriptural example would be Moses and the children of Israel leaving Egypt. Moses went up the mountain and the people made a golden calf. They were fresh out of Egypt and totally pagan, yet God was ready to destroy every last one of them. It was because of the extent of the miracles they had just seen. It was no longer a question of whether God was real or not.
We mostly think of the will of God being some mysterious thing that we can choose to seek out and abide by or not. When God comes in close you get the overwhelming sense that his will is so strong that he is going to accomplish what he has determined he is going to do, and it is better to not be in his way.
President Trump is the answer, Preisdent Trump is the answer to prayer for our nation that would have been gone if the other person won. Trump winning is a short window of opportunity for the church for 8 years or four. The Lord showed me back in 2016 this was a short grace period for America. Persecution will increase no matter who is in Office the Holy Spirit is making ready the Bride. But prayer and the standing for righteousness has brought a battle line drawn with ARC-99 Bill.
ACR-99 Civil rights: lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender people.
This bill calls on those Pastors, counselors, and religious leaders to counsel:
” on LGBT LGBTQ matters from a place of love, compassion, and knowledge of the psychological and other harms of conversion therapy, and on upon the people of California and the institutions of California with great moral influence to model equitable treatment of all people of the state.”(ASSEMBLY CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 99 Revised June 24, 2019).
Now they know what love is? Will we stand for truth? Will the pulpit speak out against it?.

Who has heard of a house fire that has not ran there to see about it? Some of the Visitations and Outpourings in the past began in a house where thirsty saints met together and cried to God day and night until He answered. Let one group of these kind of Christians meet in a home somewhere, covenant together, and keep praying until the living room is electrified with pulsating currents of the Shekinah. Then the news will spread and people will be coming from everywhere to witness the Holy Ghost Flames that perpetually engulf that house. Then it will leap from place to place until no one is able to put it out. No, the devil won’t get into this one. That’s just one scenario. My point is, if enough believers who understand what Revival actually means will catch the burden and make a determination to commit to meet in their homes and pray regularly, we would see a Revival Movement generated. Home Prayer Meetings of this type will always lead to success. Who is willing to open their homes across the Country and meet together for the sole purpose of confessing the sins of America, repenting, and pressing in for Revival until God answers? What if Mario Murillo asked you this question? We need thousands more of home prayer meetings right now! Who will take the inititiative?

Without Biblical authority, or any other right under the sun, carnal religious leaders have introduced a host of attractions that serve no purpose except to provide entertainment for today’s retarded saints.
It is now common practice in most evangelical churches to offer the people, especially the young people, a maximum of entertainment and a minimum of serious biblical instruction. It is scarcely possible in most places to get anyone to attend a meeting where the only attraction is God Himself. One can only conclude that God’s professed children are bored with Him, for they must be wooed to meeting with a stick of striped candy in the form of religious movies, music games and refreshments.
This has influenced the whole pattern of church life, and even brought into being a new type of church architecture, designed to house the golden calf.
So we have the strange anomaly of orthodoxy in creed and heterodoxy in our practice. The striped candy technique has been so fully integrated as leaven into our present religious thinking that it is simply taken for granted. Its victims never dream that it is “NOT” a part of the teachings of Christ and His apostles AWTozer
Desertstream: Know lots of people (Intercessors) praying as the NEED is so great and praying in their Homes or Meetings that bring them together because can’t get their Churches/Leaders to pray. Believe me, these people know and live and are doing the Apostolic Lifestyle and prayer and speaking and praying Bible= WORD was of most importance. Remind God of his WORD! “Power of the Blood” by H.A. Maxwell Whyte he wrote of 5 women that prayed in Revival it was 5 women in “one accord”. Power of prayer.
Anyone, have two 36-37 male and female that need help and deliverance and being discipled, guidance, education and direction; who will take them in and do such truly life Christian and Christlikeness and be Loved and not re-abused or dealing with rules with no love (can’t as in assisted living but can try and help).
