CALIFORNIA WANTS CHRISTIANS OUT

by | Aug 27, 2019 | Christianity Today | 25 comments

It is understandable that some Christian leaders in California do not want to face the horrible truth. I have compassion for them, because their situation is tenuous, to say the least.

Many pastors are in denial because the threat they now face in California is the stuff of science fiction. Here’s the unvarnished truth: the current leftist regime in California sees no future for Christianity in the State. They have made it their mission to drive true believers out of what they consider “their” State.

Sadly, the sermons being delivered by these pastors have given their congregations no warning of what they were about to face.  They learned the hard way that their child could be suspended for wearing a Christian t-shirt.  Their job in Silicon Valley could be lost if they witnessed on the job.  Textbooks that taught alternative sexual lifestyles were forced on their children.  The streets grew violent, and the Universities became intolerant.  In short, these churches have prepared their crowds for a fantasy world that does not exist, but did nothing to change the one that exists now.

For years, the evidence of this has been there. Gradually, churches began finding it hard to purchase property. Then it was difficult for Christian clubs to remain on campus. Christians were identified and then fired by Google, Facebook, YouTube and other tech giants. Silicon Valley made it clear that people who held the Christian Faith were outsiders who would either get with the program or be filtered out.

Then came Assembly Bill 2943. It essentially banned the Bible by saying that any book that promised deliverance from any LGBTQ life-style was a fraud and could be prosecuted as fraud. At the last minute it was defeated. Tragically, it was not defeated by the church, but by a much darker agenda. They pulled it, even though they had the votes to enact it into law, because it was just a test. Sure, there was outrage, but not nearly enough to stop AB 2943. They wanted the public to adapt to the idea and to blunt as much of the backlash as possible. They plan to reintroduce this bill soon.

AB 2943 was built on the LGBTQ youth protection bill (S.B. 1172) authored by then-State Sen. Ted Lieu, to prevent state-licensed therapists from practicing “psychological child abuse” on minors under the age of 18. Then- Gov. Jerry Brown signed the bill in Sept. 2012, telling the San Francisco Chronicle: “This bill bans non-scientific ‘therapies’ that have driven young people to depression and suicide. These practices have no basis in science or medicine, and they will now be relegated to the dustbin of quackery.” Lieu’s bill became a national model. 18 states followed, with similar legislation.

Radical political activists and politicians across America watched Assembly Bill 2943 very closely.  This bill is a threshold law—a model for similar laws across America.

But now they have launched a whole new attack against the church. They are blaming the Christians for high suicide rates among the LGBTQ community. You heard right.

Lawmakers in California have passed a resolution that singles out the State of California’s religious communities and forces them to fully support LGBTQ individuals.

In an astonishing bid to have people of faith conform to the agenda of the pervading progressive culture they are pushing, the legislators even blamed religious individuals for many of the issues faced by those in the LGBTQ community today – including suicide, the Federalist reports.

The resolution, which recently passed through the California State Assembly, reads: “The Legislature calls upon all Californians to embrace the individual and social benefits of family and community acceptance” of LGBTQ people. The document unapologetically pins blame on people of faith for being contributors to the sky-rocketing suicide rates among the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.

“The stigma associated with being LGBTQ often created by groups in society, including therapists and religious groups, has caused disproportionately high rates of suicide, attempted suicide, depression, rejection, and isolation amongst LGBTQ and questioning individuals…”, the bill reads.

So, with this unproven assertion put forward as fact, the California legislature is effectively seeking to force religious people to agree with and support the LGBTQ community, even if they hold strong personal convictions that would draw them away from doing so.

The message is clear: The Left sees no future for Christianity in California, except for a watered-down humanism they find acceptable, which is not Christianity at all.

The millions of believers in California and their pastors must wake up to the fact that the current regime ruling the State wants zero coexistence with the church.  Of course this is a shock.  Yet, ignoring it would be a disaster.

California is well known for the lack of unity among Christian denominations. However, if Christians in California cannot rise in unity to oppose the hatred against our faith that is streaming out of Sacramento, then the church will be driven underground.

We have no choice but to rise up as one voice!

I am holding out for a miracle. That is why I have invested more into winning souls in California this year than any previous year. I am expecting a miracle. Why? Not because I have faith in man, but because I have faith in God and in the power of prayer. Millions are praying.

Dr. Harry Ironside said it best, “It is unthinkable that when tens of thousands of GOD’s beloved people are crying from the depths of earnest hearts, “Revive thy work in the midst of the years,” that GOD does not intend to bring revival and blessing.”

Please join us in prayer, as we believe for an outpouring of the Spirit of God on California!

Breaking news! Mario Murillo is doing a one night city wide miracle service in Hanford CA Sunday September 29th at 6 PM. This night is a continuing outreach to the Central Valley

The state is assaulting the definition of marriage and churches from the outside and there is a satanic atrack against every couple that wants to do somthing for God in the church.
I just got done with one of the most discouraging counseling sessions with a couple.
They have been saved for about seven years.
So much potential for there family and destiny.

I was born in L.A. I am a Spirit-Filled Believer, reared in the South, but moved to CA to live for a recent eight year period. The Lord gave me this word during that time. My husband and I are in our seventies. Please feel free to share if anyone is lead to do so, for prayer purposes. I love my birth State.

      LET THE SON SHINE
      LET THE SON SHINE IN
      THE SON SHINE IN

      California is a lady
      true destiny unfulfilled
striving in too many wrong ways…
      choices, decisions…utterly ungodly
      yet ways pleasing to God
      she discounts, overturns

      The ones in light, weep
      praying for repentance to come
      to the ones in darkness…
      deaf and blind
      to God’s reality and truth
      and fooled by fake religions,
      by false prophets…gurus
      of the lie

      Still, laughing at her sins
      winking at immorality
      she sashays after
      the seductive voices
      calling her name

      Come! take the easy lane
      past the steeples,
      past the strains
      of age-old hymns,
      past the Cross,
      she ambles along
      the path to destruction,
      devastation, death…
      snubbing life.

      Deepest Hell-Fire calls to her…
      You’re so fine
      I’ll make you mine
      bide your time
      no haste to awake
      close your eyes
      cloud your minds
      shade your soul
      to keep out the Light
      keep on keepin’ on
      don’t look back
      don’t look ahead
      life’s easy
      when you’re havin’ fun

      body–weakened
      mind–darkened
      soul–satiated
      she lounges

      It’s a new dawn
      it’s a new day
      things to do
      pleasures to seek
      lusts to fulfill
      you’ll find it here

      Have we the right
      to ask of You
      Your mercy, O God,
for a State whose theme is
      “I did it my way!”?

      Hear us, O God.
      We have sinned.
      We have followed other gods.
      We have heeded other voices.
      We repent, O God.
      Forgive us, Father.
      Have mercy, Lord God.
Show us Your face, O Lord.

being silent, being popular, being passive, being tolerant, not preaching the true word, preachers has really put us in a decline, people will not hear the true Gospel any more, only a watered down version, they scream your condemning me, how can we condemn when we don’t even know there sin, the truth of the word, is condemning them, if not saved, and if saved the Holy Spirit is convicting them, one told me to hush tonight I didn’t even know them, much less there sin, sorry but God use’s some of us to get through to the ones not listening to the Holy Spirit, thats part of what Holy Spirit filled preaching does, and the whole LGBTQ then is demons, they oppress, depress, and then comes suicide, something inside of them even tells them that what there doing is not right, it goes against nature, but we get the blame a long with everything else people want to blame on us, they are turnning us in to the bad guy, so they can soon do away with us when they come into power again, just like the Jews were the blame for everything in Hitlers day, we are the blame in this day and time and other christians tell us to be nice and love, the truth is we been nice to long and let an evil bunch of bullies push us into silence, and caused us to cower down, and we don’t bow to devils, devils bow at the name of Jesus, time to get tough again, and stand for God and whats right do some pushing back against evil, we are a mighty army of God, let us become that army, and speak the true word of God and fight as a mighty army should, there trying hard to do away with the electoral votes, one place voted to allow ballots to over ride them, we must wake up and stand against all this evil. Be Blessed praying

    • Michael Druckenmiller Sr

Roger, (And, whomever will read this) the decline in the church is nationwide, but led by the left coast.

Individual Christians must make the difference. You/We cannot rely solely on so-called pastors whose sole purpose in life is to maintain their salaries, bragging rights to how many attend and the name they have in their communities.

Individual Christians are called to Study to Show themselves approved BEFORE GOD, are called to pray without ceasing…

If each truly Concerned Christian will stop, think and pray for just 30 minutes a day the strangle hold of demonic activity in california and the nation can be broken…

It’s not easy it took me 30 days before I even started looking forward to my prayer time (sad to say), and about 40 days before 30 minutes wasn’t long enough, if I got a good nights rest. 🙂

I am still hoping that My Lord will bring another Hydrogen Faith to me so we can pray together and be fused to Helium Faith, and yes I am looking forward to having a group that collectively has Mustard Seed faith.

But, each of us must start from where we are and boldly approach Hid Throne.

Are we just mouthing concerns? Just how serious are we?

My prayer space 0530-0600 is under the portico of a closed church, a building I want, to start a ministry. How crazy is that?

BTW, I am pretty ill this morning, but I intend to make my prayer date, even if I don’t make it into work, it’s that important!

      • Roger Culwell

Yes sir it is us individually who will make the difference, just a whole lot of people who can’t function as a body, because they have not been taught right, to pray to fight, to stand, and if we don’t preach the truth no one will. Be Blessed sir

      • Aaron

I don’t know if you read any old books but not that many years ago it was taken for granted that most christians had a daily prayer and devotional life, that’s what’s been lost amongst other things in today’s generation.
The maturity, sweetness and virtue, moral convictions, all these things are attached to our relationship with God they become more than something that’s written on paper and a commandment in a book when we engage and follow through With the application of the truth.through prayer, contending for souls, witnessing, devotion and dedication putting God first.all these things mean nothing without prayer.
Not praying over a meal or an invocation before a service or even a group prayer in a circle.all those things are good but me contending in the secret place with God.

        • Roger Culwell

          Yes, sir, I agree!

        • Michael Druckenmiller Sr

Yes, I’ve read many books in my 66+ years. 🙂

One fact, well two really, in one, remains when Jehovah’s People practice 2 Chronicles 7:14 there is revival.

And, every major revival, I’ve read of, there was a least one man in prayer soaking a prayer towel…

Personally, I found that my (past) newly reclaimed zeal had smoldered to embers and I knew something was wrong, I missed that fresh relationship of having a sense of His Presence beside me everywhere I went. Wasn’t quite the manifest presence I experienced in Worship, but far more tangible than the mere legal presence so many are self-satisfied with.

The thought of a church prayer meeting was not only foreign to me, but to be avoided at all costs…

But, I made a decision, an act of the will, that what I was, what I had, was not enough, true, I had a goal in mind, a goal that was worth looking foolish, a goal that meant more than inconvenience, a goal no distraction dares intervene…

I am not what I want to be in Jesus. But, then, like a marriage, when you’ve discounted it, let it suffer, it takes time and effort to regain that first love euphoria. And, we are told not to grieve the Holy Spirit. That’s an emotion… And, turning emotion around takes time.

So, for those eaves dropping our conversation I would say, if you are not who and where you want to be, you need to start dating The Holy Spirit, and “making time” with Jesus. And, as in any strained relationship, it isn’t going to be easy at first…

But, only you (eaves droppers), can decide if your relationship with Jesus is worth the effort, if the health, safety and salvation of those you care about is worth the effort, if seeing Justice in your community is worth the effort…

I’ve made that choice and I see I have a long ways to go because of my neglect of my relationship to Jesus, The Holy Spirit, and my Abba Father.

Love this!!! Thank you for sharing!!!

Why we call it the “Left” Coast…

Either the churches in california get it together and see the Sovereign Power of Jehovah fall or what is presented here will be the least of california Christians concerns…

  4. Paul Bolin

Am I correct in believing that all are now born with the Law in our minds and written on our hearts, as it is written in the book of Hebrews ???
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. 8 Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins [b]and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

13 In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

    Thank you
    Paul

    • Roger Culwell

something missing here, people are not born in natural birth with the laws in there heart, or evil would not be as it is, and even if it means the new birth same thing, it takes the word, or people wouldn’t be so messed up, we are missing something here, people would not be doing so much evil if that is the case, got to ask the Lord to show me something here, because something is not right, or people would not be so twisted.

If the Bible was ban across the nation, the suicide rates would still be high among LGBT, and it’s because they’re going against what God intended. Also, there’s no evidence of case studies to blame a whole group of people for someone’s choice to kill themselves, that’s absurd.
They don’t hate us Christians per se, they really hate God, and take it out on His children.
You read the Bible and you are like “wow! That’s happening again!”
The world will get worse after the rapture of the Church; what is happening in California and other places is just a warm-up to what WILL happen after the rapture.

    • Carolina

Amen deanna19831…suicide is a result of a disease of the mind sponsored by the self will of the individual, spawned by the malevolent influence of the evil one, satan. There are also zero scientific case studies that prove that homosexuality is genetic, (that people are born that way). Meaning they’ve found NO genome for the societal claim that LGBTQ’s are born with this & that’s why this malady is now listed on forms as a “birth identification “. If someone identifies with or is identified by something or someone that is by ‘choice’ or ‘selection’ not by scientific facts or physical reality.
Also-YES!! (and I’ve been ridiculed and attacked for mentioning this before on this blog, but NOT from Mario Murillo)…
the world will become so bad, so rank, after Christ’s Bride like church is gone UP in the Rapture of King Yeshua for His Beloved saints. Because the Holy Spirit that lives within million(s) of us will be REMOVED and that which restrains that AP-Paul spoke of will be gone. The blessed hope AP-Paul spoke of is Christ IN you The Hope of glory, sealed by The Holy Spirit, coupled with the intrinsic knowledge that Christ comes for His Own Beloved. This is appropriate doctrinal & biblical exegesis that has been taught for hundreds and hundreds of years.
Any other eschatological teaching is mostly gnostic in design and can be concluded as spiritism or new age philosophy.

The Church the real Church which is the sincere body of Jesus Christ “MUST” Come out from among st these FALSE PRETENTIOUS BELIEVERS who are counter to our God and His work called counterfeit INSTEAD of our Indwelling Christ as He must be our Lord or we can pack it in as we ourselves will be fighting against God in doing so in His name. GOD FORBID!!!

This is a fore taste of what it would be like in the Tribulation where one has to have the mark of the beast in order to work, buy food, or deal with other people.

However it is not yet that far gone. The more that the adversary, via the left, pushes the more it forces believers into a spiritual Renaissance. As believers wake up then look for a spiritual revolution as unbelievers come to G-D.

The entertainment industry is the new “Roman road”. Had the adversary even thought that believers could capture and then use the entertainment industry so that it would spread the word of G-D then it would have never been allowed to be as powerful as it is now.

I can see this bill being challenged all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. God help us all if it isn’t overturned. Stay strong Saints of California. You are not alone!

I’m standing with you in faith for CA. Nothing can stop the power of God! Psalms 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. :5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. 6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

God loves His California! He has never left nor forsaken them. His most Holy Spirit flows mightely over all lands and peoples in His California. God does His job well, always has and truly always will. I believe that, don’t you? We ARE in the end times, KNOW YOUR GOD! The preamble to EVERY state’s constitution states that God is active in that state-every state, check it. A preamble states the aim, purpose and justification of thier constitution. Here is California’s preamble:

PREAMBLE: We, the People of the State of California, grateful to Almighty God for our freedom, in order to secure and perpetuate its blessings, do establish this Constitution.

Our Savior does His job well, Holy Spirit does His job well. What is OUR job? Micah tells us:
    He has told you, O man, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to DO justice, and to LOVE mercy,
and to walk HUMBLY with your God?

Do YOUR job, not God’s job, not our Savior’s job, and surely not the Holy Spirit’s job.
    GOD IS IN CONTROL!

  13. Mary E. Stewart

The LGBTQ community needs to look more carefully at the reasons for the high suicide rate among them. Could it be that the lifestyle of the LGBTQ community has not brought the “happiness and well-being” the members had anticipated?
Pushing the California legislators into approving a resolution that would “protect” LGBTQ people from Christians shows just how afraid they must be of Christians. We Christians are not a threat to the LGBTQ community, but the God we serve is not pleased with the way they are living. Unfortunately, they don’t acknowledge that God has a better way for them to live. And they are unaware that the goodness of God leads to repentance.
