What is God saying about America’s destruction

by | Sep 21, 2022 | Christianity Today | 24 comments

Almost all prophetic words today shout one of these two headlines:   AMERICA IS PAST HOPE AND WILL BE DESTROYED! or  AMERICA IS FAVORED AND WILL NEVER BE DESTROYED!  Facebook oozes with voices claiming to be prophets or mouthpieces for God.   The internet teems with self-appointed prophets who scream to be heard, bombarding us with “prophetic words.”

Is there not a genuine word from the Lord in this hour?  What is God truly saying about America’s destruction?  All I can tell you is, I walk in the fear of the Lord and the constant remembrance that one day I will stand before God and give an account for every word I have spoken.  Yet, for all that reverential fear, my bones burn with a word for this hour.

My Spirit can’t hold it back from declaring to those false prophets:

To declare one’s private opinion, call it prophetic, and pronounce judgment on America is to play God.  Dooms-day prophets sound a false retreat.  By making evangelism futile, they are helping put souls in hell.  They can also shatter the hopes and dreams of a young generation.

Don’t lie, and don’t make up prophecies of judgment just because you are mad at the church.  Face it!  Your righteous indignation may be nothing more than a personal grudge that your ministry was rejected by the church.

However, the great danger to America is not an abundance of prophets of doom.  It is the false prophets of grace and entitlement who are most dangerous.

I want to use George Washington as an example of something that desperately needs to be said to the American church.  Washington died because of medical malpractice.  Back then doctors believed in bleeding sick patients.  Washington was already weak from his sickness—by draining the blood out of a man weakened by pneumonia, the doctors made him weaker and finally killed him.  It was the worst thing they could have done.

Listen church!  Cheap grace is bleeding an already weakened church.   It helps set us up for national destruction.   From the point of view of Satan, this is the perfect theology.   Instead of a life-giving conviction and a robust will to fight—this perversion induces drowsiness and apathy.

Why do you think many of our pastors are closet alcoholics and addicted to porn?  And what kind of message can you expect a poisoned vessel to preach on Sunday morning?

Past miracles don’t guarantee future mercy.  They should awaken urgency, overpowering gratitude, humility, and profound soul searching.  Throwing ourselves off the cliff of morality to prove the power of Grace tempts God and provokes wrath.

God is trying to show us the times and what to do: 1 Chronicles 12:32 speaks “of the sons of Issachar who understood the times, to know what Israel ought to do.” The entire chapter lists the military talent of each tribe of Israel.  The gift of understanding the times was Issachar’s weapon.

I disagree with “prophets” who say America will be destroyed. I also disagree with those who say America cannot be destroyed. We are neither pardoned nor condemned.  Our fate has not yet been decided.

I gave this warning in 2020: “Trump’s election was a miracle meant to ignite the church.  If the church fails to obey God, his time in Washington will be short, ineffective and we will end up worse off than ever.”

I gave this warning in 2020: “Trump’s election was a miracle meant to ignite the church.  If the church fails to obey God, his time in Washington will be short, ineffective and we will end up worse off than ever.”  Look at how that has come to pass.

Here are the precise verses for this hour:  Ezra 9:8, “And now for a little while grace has been shown from the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage. 9 For we were slaves. Yet our God did not forsake us in our bondage; but He extended mercy to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to revive us, to repair the house of our God, to rebuild its ruins, and to give us a wall in Judah and Jerusalem.”

Listen again to Ezra:

Ezra 9:13, “And after all that has come upon us for our evil deeds and for our great guilt, since You our God have punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and have given us such  deliverance as this, 14 should we again break Your commandments, and join in marriage with the people committing these abominations? Would You not be angry with us until You had consumed us, so that there would be no remnant or survivor?”

Wrath comes when you do not properly respond to mercy:  2 Chronicles 32:25, “But Hezekiah did not repay according to the favor shown him, for his heart was lifted up; therefore, wrath was looming over him and over Judah and Jerusalem.”

Look again at Ezra’s words: but He extended mercy to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to revive us, to repair the house of our God, to rebuild its ruins, and to give us a wall in Judah and Jerusalem.”

Trump is a temporary reprieve.  Now we must do our part.  We must act on the mercy we have been shown.  He extended mercy so that we would do three things: Revive, Repair and Rebuild.

Revive: God commands us to seek a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.  We dare not have church without it!  We dare not utter another word in the pulpit that denies it!  The word of the Lord for this hour is: cry out to God with heart of gratitude for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Here is the key promise if we do: 1 Samuel 10:6, Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man. 7 And let it be, when these signs come to you, that you do as the occasion demands; for God is with you.

Repair:  Both the pulpit and our moral compass are broken.  They must be repaired!  Our wiring, plumbing and foundations are damaged.  Abortion and marriage are issues we lost because our leadership was broken.  We abandoned the Bible and did not arm ourselves or the congregation with convictions.

America needs Lions who roar from a righteous heart.  Away with secret sin and lukewarm grace.  Prayer will repair.  The voice that shakes hell and frees men and women from bondage is forged only in fervent prayer.  Satan does not respect your stage presence, education or tactics.  He knows a prayerless poser.  He only retreats before men and women who have been to Gethsemane.

Rebuild: We must come home to the Glorious Gospel.  We must dismantle all the silly things we have tried to say to this generation.  Forget about rebranding!  We need to rebuild our sermons from the ground up.  Let them be replete with Bible verses.  Let them talk of the mighty God.  Fill them with content the Holy Spirit can use to reach lost souls!  The Good News must once again roll off our tongue in the office, on campus and at the mall.

The consequences of cheapening God’s mercy are too terrible to imagine.  The opportunity this miracle has opened is too wonderful to ignore.

That is the word of the Lord for this hour!

When I receive things from Mario I take time to read them, reread them, ponder how God would like me to see the wisdom and give me understanding to apply what His Servant, Mario has been blessed to share with us from his countless years of closeness to Our Lord Jesus Christ. Then take action and support Mario’s Ministry!

Yes, all that is true, to an extent. But, my call has been 2 Chronicles 7:14. My cry has been that the date is known only to God The Father, and the church age is open-ended that in the 70’s we had almost as much going on, but there was a nation wide revival. And, I believe fervently that because of that revival that Father stayed His hand.

How can “we” be so caught up in the prophecies of the like you and I both dislike strongly when the fields are ripe unto harvest, and “we” are so distracted and have so little feeling for those “we” are allowing to go to a hell prepared for the devil and his angels, not man.

I honor you Mario, for you are one of us who at least “get it”. And, thankfully, have the voice and the means to accomplish for God great things. I don’t I’m just a little burdened 70 year old heart for God.

Brother Michael, you may have forgotten that one of the definitions of ‘sin’ is ‘missing the mark’ or not hitting the bulls-eye with the arrow shot from your bow. Lesson: keep practicing. Your ‘Book of Life’ is filled with great and wondrous achievements as a son of God. Jesus took your ‘little burdened 70 years old heart for God’ and saved it and you, long ago, so that you could wake up to this hour and move against the wiles of the devil in perfect conviction that it is not your ego fighting the good fight but your Lord and Savior in you aiming firing and hitting the target by His power and might. Give Him the glory for this fact, and saddle up brother- your life and heart are needed now. Remember this- “Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. Tomorrow go down against them…
You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you.”. (2 Chronicles: !5 Thus….17:….with you.) Rejoice, Michael, that you are fully equipped to Revive, Repair & Rebuild the House of the Lord. My 71 years young heart says: Let’s do this!

Thank you for your boldly calling out the church and for challenging us to be the people of God that the world needs us to be. You remind me of John the Baptist, doing whatever is necessary to wake up the body of Christ, and doing it with true conviction and passion from our Lord Jesus. I’m praying for you and for our nation.

    Ok brother Mario,
    GOD Bless you great word.
(Our fate has not yet been decided.)

This nation is choosing its destiny at every election. That how this nation was built.

It’s time to act? Repair rebuild and restore …. I say Amen to that but the problem in the church is mostly is at the pulpit.
Great preachers and wonderful words GOD bless the men of GOD and the preachers but I have an observation ide like to point out ….

Before the pandemic, How many times I ever hear a preacher preach about abortion in my 33 years of serving the LORD was 0. ZERO. Zero zero zero.

I’m not saying all but very few did and most never did because pastors of this day want numbers and attendance and now I can see that many not all but many have replaced the CROSS with a building for salvation.

Your preaching when you were very young about the Levi priest leaving his concubine out to be abused touched my life to this day about our nation and Christian being able to sleep while our nation was being abused. Like we see right now.

It’s not mainly church attendance that affects pastors preaching but the 501c status compromise.

I believe in my heart that this is a true message for the church! This is what the Lord has been putting on my heart and the Holy Spirit has confirmed this word in my heart. Prayer has been an almost constant burden and I will continue to press in and devote myself even more to prayer and the Word of God.

Thank you, Bro. Mario, you are right on target with your messages. President Trump was a wakeup call for America, his endless persecutions showed us the level of corruption in our nation. We must rise up as a spiritual force from our Heavenly Father to take back what the evil one and his demons have stolen from our sleeping, ecclesia.

I agree with you 100 per cent! The preachers never preach on hell either and church instead of looking the part now looks lime a ballgame!! No power! But ALL we need to preach is READ the WORD yourself!! Read Timothy and see if we are about to be raptured and great tribulation come upon the earth! And all those pastors that think Israel is the only spot for tribulation better read their REAL newspaper’s!

I agree with Mario. What God wants is our obedience, not our opinions. The harvest is vastly bountiful, and the workers are seriously few. The Great Commission is as relevant today as it was 2,000 years ago…explain to the Lord what you have been doing to be obedient the the Great Commission.. You will be judged by your actions, attitudes, and motivations. But as for me and my house…and with a great sense of urgency!

Amen and Amen, Pastor Mario. The Church, which consists of all true Believers, is badly in need of coming back to the Cross. When I take part in online chats, I am shocked at the people who claim in their profiles that they, “love God”, “believe in Christ”, etc, etc, and then proceed to use the same foul language that the wicked do, plus post very questionable things. We are desperately in need of a Holiness revival in this land. It seems like we are no longer being admonished for our sins from the pulpit. And, when is the last time you heard of your, or any church, having such an outpouring of the Holy Spirit that everyone was glued to their seat or fallen to their knees in church and did not want to leave? It’s been a while, as far as I can see. If the churches will allow Him to take over the meetings, they won’t have room for the crowds! Come, Holy Spirit.

Mario you have been touched by God and you are right about the churches. My church is losing lots of its members and we need the Holy Spirit. I’m in my 70s and I have never heard about abortion ever. We have a lot of very liberal people who are considered very educational, but have said we need to take Revolution out of the Bible. This town of Louisville needs a revival we need you and Lance more than anything.
I am praying for you and Lance, wish I could be there with you two.
May God bless you and protect you.

When I grew up I sat in a full gospel church where the pastor was a man on fire for God and a Godly desire for lost souls to come to Jesus Christ in repentance and rebuild their lives. Back in that day, 60 years ago, more pastors preached the full message like you are preaching today. It brought sinners to their knees in weeping and sorrow for their sins and they met the Master who saved them from their sins and set their feet on a pathway of Holiness. They had a truly regenerated spiritual experience with Jesus. It is rare to see these instances in this day and age but there are still preachers who like you are preaching truth, but they are few. Christians living in an unholy state will find a difficult path ahead. God does not bless sin. Disobedience will bring the wrath of God. The Holy Spirit leads us to live in Holiness but if we ignore Him we will suffer the consequences. May God lead more Preachers to preach the full truth, not just feel good words to bring in more numbers. Thank you brother Mario for being a beacon of light in a very dark world sending God’s light and fire into the hearts of mankind. Cynthia G Jones
