Just the book I need! I’m tired of being a silent Christian and being afraid to speak up. This last week my “Christian” relatives and friends spoke up FOR abortion. I was shocked, because they claim to be Christian. I spoke up on their Facebook page and the conversation devolved quickly. I was labeled a self-righteous, uncompassionate Christian. I noticed in the conversation that they were unwilling to call the unborn a “baby” and the mother a “woman”. Instead they said fetus or blob of tissue and called the mother an uterus owner. Abortion exists, because its a lie. People are not willing to admit that abortion is the killing of an innocent human baby by calling it something else.
Soon I realized it wasn’t just about abortion. It’s about compromise! My Christian relatives were excusing sin like sex before marriage, gay/trans issues, abortion, ect. It probably wasn’t the best time to witness to them, but I did. I just realized they all think they’re fine and going to heaven! They said they interpret the Bible the way they want too. They said Jesus is a good God and won’t send anyone to Hell. It’s grace they say. I told them Jesus didn’t die on the cross so you can sin all you want too! He’s either the Lord of your life or he isn’t. It’s like where it says in the Bible in Matt: 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
I need to be better prepared. I don’t know what I’m doing and I’m not very tactful. I don’t want to compromise, but I want to speak the truth in love. I don’t want my relatives going to Hell. They’re believing a lie that they can live a life a sin and still make it to heaven.
