Something has happened. An invisible line has been crossed. A very tired and obsolete excuse has expired. What excuse, you ask? The one that goes like this: “As a Christian, I don’t believe that we should be involved in politics.”
As incredible as it may seem, people are still saying things like that.
There is a special punishment mentioned in Scripture about remaining silent when a generation is headed for disaster. And that Scripture mentions nothing about a ‘political’ exemption. Proverbs 24:11-12, “Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those who stumble to the slaughter. If you say, “Surely we did not know this,” does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He Who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?”
The Satanic agenda being pushed by the Left is killing people. It is drawing them toward death. But you can’t speak up because that would be ‘politics.’

Look deeply into the eyes of a champion swimmer. She trained all of her life to be in this final event. She even broke a record, but she came in second. The medal she won has been stolen by a male swimmer. Can you feel the devastation? The unfairness? How can you still call this ‘just politics?’
Maybe you didn’t know that kindergarteners are stumbling toward the slaughter, led there by activist teachers who are confusing them about their gender, and pushing them to get hormones and surgery without any permission from their parents. And still, you don’t want to say anything, because that would be political. Wait. What? A teacher taking a child in kindergarten aside and grooming them for the LGBTQ agenda. How is this debatable? How can you insist on being silent?
Walt Disney Corporation is using their considerable power to fight a war against parents. Disney is fighting against a law signed by Gov. DeSantis, that would not have been necessary in a decent society. The law states that you must have my parental consent before talking to my child about gender. You can’t hide it from me anymore. And, oh yes, you can’t teach my child LGBTQ doctrine until the third grade.
You still think that parents who are fighting for their children are just ‘getting into politics?’ You still believe we should stay quiet?
How insane are the Leftists? They have gone from chanting “believe every woman,” to asking “what is a woman?”
Ketanji Brown Jackson, nominee for the Supreme Court, says she cannot define what a woman is, because, as she made the lame excuse, “I am not a biologist.” Yet, she seems to know a lot about biology when she declares that a fetus at full term is still not human—and can be legally killed, even after surviving an abortion.
You still think that parents who are fighting for their children are just ‘getting into politics?’ You still believe we should stay quiet?
Ketanji Brown Jackson’s devaluation of human life explains why she has given less than the minimum sentence recommended by the law for men who have not only sexually assaulted babies, but also tortured them. But you still believe that speaking out against her is just being political?
Proverbs 24:12 is clearly asking some burning questions: What do you mean by saying you did not know they were headed for the slaughter? You say you did not know evil when you saw it? Don’t you realize that God knows you are lying? How can you believe that God will not hold you accountable for your silence?
More to the point, is this a sign of things to come for every Christian leader—no matter how big their empire—to either take a stand or be removed?
The punishment for silence in the face of evil—the reckoning for not helping to save people and push back the disaster—is plainly stated in Esther 4:14, “For if you remain silent at this time, liberation and rescue will arise for the Jews from another place, and you and your father’s house will perish [since you did not help when you had the chance]. And who knows whether you have attained royalty for such a time as this [and for this very purpose]?”
You did not help when you had the chance. Is Hillsong collapsing right before our eyes? Is it just Brian Houston, or is it an entire value system? In case you didn’t know, Hillsong is the biggest church in Australia. They had the power to speak up against the tyranny and immorality that is now flooding their nation. But they chose to remain silent. Has their scandal come because they passed their time-limit to take a stand?
More to the point, is this a sign of things to come for every Christian leader—no matter how big their empire—to either take a stand or be removed?
It is no longer about you and me. It is about the children. It is no longer about politics. It is about evil.
But there is a promise in that very same chapter of Proverbs for those who choose to stand against the flood of evil.
Proverbs 24:25, “But those who rebuke the wicked will have delight, and a good blessing will come upon them.”

Hearing many of my “Christian brethren” say things like “God’s got this” and refusing to talk about the old standard “religion and politics” makes me angry and frustrated… I was shushed by another “sister” in the Lord at a women’s prayer group when I spoke out against the fraudulent election and what the leftists were doing to our country, she wagged a finger at me saying with a smile…”now now, we don’t talk politics here” …. Well if I can’t talk about the state of our country there, WHERE can I talk about it???? No wonder we’re in the state we’re in, if we can’t or won’t talk about politics and how it will impact our churches and families. Even our pastor whom I dearly love, refuses to bring up anything about politics or the current state of affairs. The general consensus must be that God allowed the fraud in the WH so we must accept and pray for him and his horrendous administration that is responsible for the demonic policies foisted on our nation. I pray for him to be saved, because if he was saved, he would admit the election was rigged and step down and ask that our rightful president be reinstated.

I too went too a Bible study through our church and I was shushed when I tried to talk about what is going in the world. It was not important to talk about it it most certainly is important so then I knew that wasn’t the Bible Study for me I left and didn’t go back. I felt that people need to know and we need to pray for our Country and around the World.
Where are the Wesley’s?, Jonathan Edwards?, Finney’s, Moody’s? Fortunately there is Mario Marillo. I am very sure that God has His men and women standing up for a “time such as this.” I am standing against the flood of evil, I am praying, I am proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I am willing to lose EVERYTHING for the sake of the Gospel. Hell is not full yet for the lukewarm. What a terrible day that will be. No repentance will help in that place. “They have made their choice for all time.”

There have been many Christians slaughtered over centuries who said “God’s got this”. He doesn’t want us to sit on our hands. He wants us to stand up for injustice. Doing nothing makes us sheep. Sheep follow to the slaughter. Me and mine will not follow to the slaughter, or cave to pressure.
When I get to Heaven, and stand to be judged, I don’t want to be asked by God “Why didn’t you fight the demonic forces”? None of us should allow our children to be abused, nor our Christian brothers and sisters to close their eyes to evil. That is not what God asks of us.

On the front lines of Street Ministry, many lewd acts are being performed in front of us and to distract from the preaching of the Gospel. This is happening mainly through Young women. Sometimes the crowds even cheering these actions. After preaching some 52 years on the streets things are deteriorating due to the present political climate.

Your wisdom is so needed at this time when there are so many weak Christian speakers out there who criticize pastors and evangelists who tell us how important it is to vote right (as in according to God’s Laws and His Will for this nation). I just heard another one on Sunday on tv, and it was someone I had respected.
I left what used to be a good church after the pastor said it doesn’t matter whether we vote democrat or Republican. “Who cares?”” he said. He was also weakening on his stance on homosexuality.
I know some ministers criticize people who leave churches. I don’t understand that. Sometimes the church leaves us.

The level of compromise continues to accelerate. At first I’ve noticed people who call themselves Christians excusing cohabitation. Then abortion. Then homosexuality. Obviously they’re ok with sin in their lives and think they’re in no danger. Once saved always saved they say. It’s grace. If you question their lives they’ll quote don’t judge.
On the day of judgement they’re in for a big surprise. They never made Jesus the Lord of their lives. They misunderstood salvation. They’re Christian in name only. How many people who call themselves Christians are truely saved?

I totally agree that we Christian’s who surrender to Gods Spirit and His word have to repent for being Luke warm, compromising, and too busy! Standing for the truth challenges me because I constantly have to remind myself that I’m not fighting “” flesh and blood” but those principalities of the enemy. Greater in us is Jesus! Years ago Christians we’re told to stay out of politics, lest the 503(c) tax exempt status be taken away. TAKE IT AWAY!!! PLEASE!!! We don’t need or want it as its given the government control over what is said from the pulpit! Yes, we’ll pay higher taxes to speak out… SO WHAT??? I am so encouraged by your post Mario. Sometimes I feel like the only one who believes the same way as you. I need to hear it. I attended my home church after being absent for quite a while. I heard the head pastor say in his sermon “I believe in the separation of church and state and I don’t believe the church should be involved in politics”. Hearing that statement from him given in his sermon solidified for me why I can no longer attend. I left the service feeling dismayed and disheartened. If we Christians don’t take a stand now, our country is totally lost!

There is the sin of commission & also the sin of omission, not taking responsibility for what God has asked us to do:

His response “he (mario) is talking about moral issues, not politics.” I responded ” politicians are making laws that govern moral issues, the two cannot be separated.” There is none so blind as those who refuse to see. (btw we no longer attend said church. I talked to the pastor about being more bold, his response “I don’t want to offend” I told him “everywhere Jesus went He offended someone. You would be in very good company. We must keep speaking truth as long as we can.

When are those who recognize the sanctity of all human lives goin to stop saying inane things such as referring to fetuses who (not that) survive abortion. First, as for example, the Bible in speaking of John the Baptist, says the baby jumped in the womb. A pre-born baby, in the words of the Author of Life is a baby, not a fetus.The word Fetus is a foreign language term used overwhelmingly to depersonalize pre-born babies. And the definition of a fetus (at least-pre-Roe) was 1. a pre-born 2. mammal baby that had 3. attained its recognizable form. Once out of the womb, babies are no longer pre-born—so they are no longer a fetus and are called a fetus only by those who are ignorant or those who are trying to deceive others. Don’t perpetuate either. Just stop it.
