Why would anyone want to be a wolf in Christian clothing when Christians were being thrown to the lions? Yet that is exactly what happened in the first century. Paul said it would keep happening.
“But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:10-13).
Paul was right. In times of great attacks on the church, “evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” Today, we have great persecution and a herd of wolves.
At the worst possible time, we have more false teachers and false teaching than ever. We have the most arrogant and heartless wolves the church has ever seen. We also have some of the most gullible Christians ever.
Paul was angry with the Corinthians for being gullible. “For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!” (2 Corinthians 11:4).
And just look at what we are putting up with! Preachers claiming that they can visit heaven whenever they want. Claiming that there they saw T-Rexes that the kids can ride. False prophets charging money for daily prophetic words—like a daily horoscope. Christians dumping the wife of their youth, because they found their “soul mate.”
How can Christians be so gullible now? With the evil that is being thrown at us every day—wouldn’t you think that believers would be on red alert to spot deception? Wouldn’t you imagine they would be digging into the Word of God, instead of chasing questionable emotional experiences? Wouldn’t you assume that believers would be cautious about the voices they heed and the preachers they give money to?
On the other hand, it actually makes sense, on one level. Satan has sent this herd of wolves, just at the right time, to devour and derail the Body of Christ from saving America.
How dangerous?
The wolves are far more dangerous than you know. Transgenderism is dangerous but wolves in the church are even more dangerous. That is why I say the chief threat to American Christianity is not men who identify as women, but wolves who identify as sheep.
-Matthew Henry, in his commentary, said that one false minister inside the church is worse than a thousand enemies outside the church.
-Jesus, when asked about the end of the world, put it quite succinctly: “Take heed that you are not deceived!”
-Wolves are so dangerous that Paul warned about them with tears for three years! “For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also, from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after themselves. Therefore, watch and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears” (Acts 20: 29-31).
Protect yourself and those you love! Learn 5 ways to recognize a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
1. They make inappropriate demands about money, pry into relationships, and invade your privacy.
2. They tell you God will punish you for leaving their church or for coming out from under their control.
3. They will constantly talk about mystical experiences and messages they have received from God. But will discourage you from judging their words by the Bible.
4. They will cut you off from your wife, your husband, and other important relationships in your life.
5. You begin to feel you cannot make any decisions about your life without their consent and approval.
There is only one way to treat a wolf—run and do not look back. Do not even bother to explain why. Then find a church that operates in the freedom of the Holy Spirit and that is based solidly on the Bible. One that builds up its members, rather than tearing them down.
And to all you wolves out there, here is a stern warning. God hates your works. When you dare to touch the sheep of God, you make yourself His enemy.
Here are the words of Jesus inLuke 17:1-2, “He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.”

Extremely cynical to begin with so I’m constantly judging everything I hear and the source of it. If it doesn’t line up with the Bible, I immediately reject it. Really getting tired of those who think they have some kind of “special anointing ” that no one else has. They may not state that in those words but their so-called “experiences” speak volumes!
What do you think about “prophets” who warn people to “not touch God’s anointed prophets?” Meaning not to question anything they say? There are so many “prophets” out there. One show has them on regularly; as you said, one or two claims to visit Heaven regularly, one time travels, and some seem to be more legitimate. I pray for discernment, but wonder who are truly God’s true prophets in today’s world? You will hear several eventually giving nearly identical prophecies, and people claim this to be “confirmation “. I wonder if they are listening to each other’s “words from God” and merely repeating them. I don’t want to speak against God’s truly anointed prophets, but I also don’t want to be taken in by false prophets. I pray for discernment all the time.

The gift of DISCERNMENT is one that is greatly needed in these last days! Unfortunately, very few Christians seem to have it. Why? As you pointed out, they don’t know their Bible and they don’t understand what’s going on in the world today, and how their enemy works!

Thank you Mario for calling this out. False teachers and prophets are called out in 26 of the 27 books of the New Testament. Paul in his letter to the Thessalonians tells us that the false teachers will be present in these last days. However, the only reason they can even exist is that we put them on some special throne. Most don’t know the Word themselves to see if they are being deceived, so they deceive the sheep. We all need to examine the Word of God and as Paul says in 1 Thess. 2:12 ….we must have a love for the truth. People today including these wolves do not love the truth. They know it but continue with their sin and try and see ways to justify their sin and their love for the things in the world including the false stories they tell to be recognized and be important in the eyes of the church. I believe we all should have a servant’s mind in the kingdom of God not one of wealth and significant.

Years ago a great man of God publicly repentented of his involvement with the activity so accurately detailed in this blog.
Derek prince coined the phrase in the book “They Shall Expel Demons” as Charismatic witchcraft.

Get before God and talk to him about your private life then get quiet and expect him to speak about it with you!!
Obviously most folks on this blog are all good and have there relationship with The Lord held to the top priority.
But for those who are struggling all you need is to get close to Jesus and obey him.
As a pastor I have finally figured out that that’s my top priority.
Get folks close to Jesus.
My counseling sessions have dramatically dropped because people are being convicted by the Holy Spirit to simply do right.
People who are under the influence of the Holy Spirit are the biggest givers and bring people to church and evangelize.
They voluntarily get involved in labor at the church etc.
Again my Job is to get people as close to God as I can.
I challenge them to get a prayer life and read there bible.
That is so true about false teachings. I spent four and a half years with Jehovah Witnesses and thought I was going to lose my mind. My daughters stopped talking to me and my mother. Thankfully my husband stood by me. Then through them I found out I was diabetic. Thankfully when I called my mother from the hospital because my sugars were so high that she came. When I was released I asked her to take me home because I didn’t want to go with the woman who brought my to the hospital because I was mad at her. These people don’t listen to you at all it goes in one ear and out the other. I was treated horribly by the woman who was my teacher.
Jesus warned us about this in the 10th chapter of John: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (ESV) For years I have heard people say the thief is Satan. That cannot be true. Satan is not mentioned anywhere in this chapter, the preceding chapter, or the next. Verse 8 says, “All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.” Note “all” and “thieves and robbers” are plural. There is only one Satan! Back up to verse 1 and you see: “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber.” The sheepfold represents the Church. The door is Jesus: So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.” (verse 7) So, the thief is a false Christian – someone pretending to be a Christian but has not come in to the fellowship by way of accepting Jesus as Lord. They don’t necessarily have to be a pastor, teacher, prophet, etc. But they can steal your peace and your joy – sometimes even your money! Beware!
I’m wondering why you don’t call Ken Copeland out on some things? 1) Jesus took on Satan’s nature and actually became sin and suffered in the jail house prison of hell for us. 2) He said the protestant reformation was demonic because of its disagreement on Justification. He supports this Pope as being anointed from God and Copeland promotes unity with the Catholic Church!
Yes, it is deeply saddening to think how so many are not willing to walk in the Spirit.

The sad fact is, is that so many of them don’t know they are deceived. And, The American church has elevated the pastorate to the point of idolatry and no man dares question, challenge or correct them.
Worse elders are so lazy in their own Biblical Studies that they don’t know the lie from the truth! As for the average “layperson” they hardly ever open their Bibles or even discuss Biblical topics.
IMHO a *real* pastor encourages questions and challenges, if for no other reason than to keep him sharp, as well as prevent false doctrine from taking root in the church God has commissioned them to protect and DISCIPLE.

Amanda Grace is another. A prophet gives warning for purpose. To repent or possibly how to avert a disaster. Amanda thinks a prophecy is fulfilled because she predicts a train derailment and when it happens, voila she has a fulfilled prophecy. Was someone saved in this disaster? No, there was no fruit born from this that helped humanity. It was a prediction, like common astrologers give.
Moses could not see God’s face, because Christ had not yet shed His blood for us and made us clean. Now, we can see the Father if He so chooses; John did in his visit to Heaven in Revelation. Are these people lifting up His Name and giving Him all glory, seeking His will, preaching the Gospel? By their fruits we shall know them.
A few points to ponder in love:
-Kat was answering a child’s question about heaven and so spoke of the things the child would be interested in. She doesn’t go around telling just anyone about the cities made of jello. So that is an unfair depiction of her because it undermines her.
-Moses spoke with God as a friend and face to face ??♀️
-Amanda didn’t “predict “ a train derailment, God spoke through her of the coming issues with a train and bridge collapse. God speaks many things to her in the words HE blesses her with and gives signs to watch for. How do you know no one was saved through Amanda’s word on a train derailment? That could have been a huge disaster since it was filled with fertilizer which could have caught fire and even exploded. Satan will take any chance he can get to kill steal and destroy. But because of the word she spoke, people prayed about that. I know I did.
We must not be so quick to judge and assume we know all the ways of God. God has been teaching me this through these very prophets that you speak of, which is why your comment caught my eye. I was more likely to write things off a few months back. But knowing His ways is a process that we cannot reach all at once and dare I say we won’t reach until we get to heaven. But I have learned that there will always be things about God that surprise you. So writing things off because you can’t wrap your head around them could rob you of seeing a beautiful facet of your Father ?. We have to resist the urge box Him in, it is difficult for our little minds so we need to be intentional about it. Always check your SPIRIT, not relying on the analysis of you brain, to see what God is saying. God consistently blows my mind therefore I’ve been trying not to give my brain the first opinion. If something is not from Him, He will tell you in your spirit? I’m not saying through all rationale to the wind, but the truth is that minds change, facts change, but truth is a spirit… Holy Spirit will not lead you to believe a lie??

Exactly correct and she also doesn’t go to heaven when she wants, but when God wants her to go – his will not hers. Ask Pastor Hank Kunneman about Kat as he is good friends with her.
I agree. The reference about the kids riding the T Rex was direct. Kat fits none of the criteria Mario listed as warning signs for false prophets. It would be better not to generalize here, as it lumps everyone together, and most of the article is good. Kat always comes back to Scripture, the divinity of Christ, the power of the Gospel, the holiness of the Father and the power of the Spirit, in the blood and mighty Name of Jesus Christ. There is nothing unbiblical or wacky about animals being in Heaven; and we know that the souls of children go there to live. If God sees fit to let them ride a T Rex, that might be surprising, but not anti Scripture. Remember, Jesus said we should have faith as a little child, and that would include a little humor and imagination. There are plenty of dangerous wolves out there, with truly bad intent to take glory away from God and seek power for themselves, but Kat Kerr is not one of them.

When I pray for people, I always pray the LORD will give them a hunger and thirst for Righteousness, and a Burning Desire to Read and Study the WORD OF GOD. That was prayed for me 35 years ago…and it was life-changing for me.

Why do spirit filled Christians today seem to have zero discernment for pastors & prophets & speakers that speak fairy tales, clouds without water ? as Peter writes. Why are speakers allowed, without any questioning ?, allowed to say on the pulpit, oh I went to heaven, spoke to Jesus & Moses today. Oh yeah & Job was eating a burrito in the Cafe in Heaven. Yesterday I saw an angel dressed like Superman or Spider-Man, it’s an abomination & mockery of Christ, His Blood & the Holy Spirit. It brings me great grief the foolishness of believers. And I sometimes think am I going to have to go Catholic or Orthodox to honor the Kingship & Sovereignty of the Almighty. I am washed in His Blood ? & dunked heavily in the Holy Ghost, how can this wickedness of extravagant chicanery be SO tolerated in the so-called born again, Pentecostal churches. Please keep writing & calling a spade a spade ♠️ & wolves wolves.

This is right on preaching and they are out there! Running members off and saying some people are not welcome in the church! It is a rough road to stay on course and if you don’t read the word you may not be able to spot them. We answer to GOD not man and we have to work on our salvation because it is a straight and narrow road home and we do not need to stray and get off the path. We stand strong for GOD and saving of men and we come against this evil in JESUS name! Prayers for souls added to the kingdom daily through your ministry!

I appreciate the word of warning from Pastor Mario. I have found that if I have doubts or feel a hesitancy on the teachings of certain speakers and prophets, I just keep their words at arm’s length until I know that they have heard from God.
God’s Word tells us that in the Last Days, people will want to have their ears tickled and begin listening to fables. And Jesus told us several times in Matthew 24 to see that we are not deceived. We’re also told in Revelations to let no one steal our crown.
So, the best thing is for us to stay in the Word and in daily touch with the Lord. Pray for discernment, but don’t let yourself develop a critical spirit. Don’t become so critical of all things Supernatural, that you end up throwing everything out, including what God actually IS doing and saying. After all, He is a Supernatural God, All Powerful, All Knowing, All Wise. If He wants to allow us to ride dinos in Heaven, He certainly can. And let’s face it, the Bible is full of strange things that He told certain people to do. He doesn’t operate by our rules.
Let’s be wise a serpents and harmless as doves. Don’t let yourself be blown about by every wind.

As I was reading my devotions this morning, these verses came to me, and I thought them interesting given Mario Murillo’s recent blog about wolves in sheep’s clothing.
We have people who claim to be this or that in the body of Christ. But! Can they prove it?
Three times it is recorded that Jesus provided proof to the Priests that He was who He said He was.
Why, then, do we so carefully shy away from “proofing” those we place in office in God’s Name?
Consider Kathryn Kuhlman, a woman called by God to minister healing.
What was unusual was that, if at all possible, her team gathered before and after medical evidence, making full proof of her ministry and that God had in fact healed someone.
Many of these stories are recounted in; “I Believe In Miracles”, “God Can Do It Again” and “Nothing Is Impossible With God”.
As for me, I’ve never considered myself “in ministry” because until recently no one would credential me.
I have had a few encounters with The Holy Spirit, one of which bears repeating here because I had no idea what I was doing at the time and not until recently did the pieces start falling into place.
One of our friend’s wife was pregnant and her due date was approaching rapidly.
He was standing watch and a group of us were helping her pack out to move to a two-bedroom house on base, when she suddenly had an epileptic seizure and dropped like a rock on her belly.
There have been very few times (3) in my life that I’ve felt The Holy Spirit’s Hand on my shoulder, and I would have never done such a thing under my own volition as I usually hung back and let others do it.
Instantly I was on my knees praying The Holy Spirit’s Prayer, in Tongues, and she immediately came out of the seizure. Her first concern was her baby, which I assured her was ok.
And, then still, I believe in The Spirit, I said “go to the dispensary and get checked out so there will be no doubt.”
Well, she did deliver a very healthy baby, but I don’t know if her epilepsy was healed. I pray it was. But I wasn’t close to them, I was just tagging along for the manpower.
So, often we are told to just, “Faith It” without making full proof of the matter. Then doubt enters in and even though one area is secure, our mutual enemy uses that doubt to attack us in other areas making us doubt the original “fix”.
Respectfully, I dissagree. I believe the chief threat to christianity in america is christians who identify as cant’s.

Thank you. I have been confused about all the people who claim to go to heaven on a daily basis. When they say we will be here for another 100 years, it denies the doctrine of immanency. I also will be disappointed if heaven is just like this earth. Paul said he saw things that he was not allowed to say. I am praying to walk in the truth and not be deceived in this increasing darkness.
After spending nearly six months to teach through the book of Revelation, I became convinced that the reality will be far different than what we can imagine. It seems that John was trying to describe the New Jerusalem, which will be awesome, in terms that he, and we, can comprehend. But it will be far greater than that. To try to grasp the reality for us now would be literally mind-blowing!
Are you suggesting that no one has been taken to heaven? Scripture backs up the idea that it happens. Paul for instance was taken to heaven. That’s how he saw what it was like.
I did not suggest or imply that at all. Revelation 4:1 – 2 says John was taken up to heaven. But what he saw was hard to describe in human terms. That’s all.
True as true can be …always….
They will also enter as pastors, hired hands. They keep the flock satisfied but do not lead the sheep to the Shepherd so the flock knows Jesus deeper, ready for what is to come upon the world.
