Super Bowl LV was painful. Oh, not the game—that was fine. It was everything else. The halftime and the commercials. So, what was the goal: to get us to choke on “woke?”
The halftime artist known as ‘The Weekend’ was touted as a shining example for black people. The song he didn’t do is one he recorded that talked about how proud he was of his girlfriend’s willingness to degrade herself with him in front of his friends and let them film it.
Dr. King said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” The Super Bowl halftime show was not that ‘day.’ Instead, it featured a man whose lack of character was not just ignored, but celebrated.
There were also many commercials that were tedious and preachy. But the worst one, in my opinion, was the commercial that featured Bruce Springsteen. Here is the transcript of what he wrote and voiced:
“There’s a chapel in Kansas, standing on the exact center of the lower forty-eight. It never closes. All are more than welcome to come meet here, in the middle. It’s not secret. The middle has been a hard place to get to lately. Between red and blue. Between servant and citizen. Between our freedom and our fear. Now, fear has never been the best of who we are. And, as for freedom, it’s not the property of just the fortunate few; it belongs to us all. Whoever you are, wherever you’re from. It’s what connects us, and we need that connection. We need the middle. We just have to remember the very soil we stand on is common ground, so we can get there. We can make it to the mountaintop through the desert, and we will cross this divide. Our light has always found its way through the darkness. And there’s hope on the road up ahead…” Then, over the map of America, appeared these words: “To the ReUnited States of America.”
Here are the facts about Bruce Springsteen: he hates—not dislikes—hates Donald Trump, and has no use for Trump supporters. He has labored vehemently and tirelessly for the Democrat Party. You know, the people who are currently not just dividing, but tearing the nation apart with a bogus impeachment trial.
So, in this commercial, we see Springsteen in this little church. He says it’s always open and everyone is welcome. How detached from reality is that? Bruce’s party, the Democrats, have shut down the churches. They have made exceedingly clear that no one is welcome in the churches—not even in that little chapel.
His party not only shut down churches—they shut them down, until many had to close for good. Imagine how it sounded to the pastor who lost his church to hear Springsteen say, “it is always open and everyone is welcome.”
Springsteen also supports cancel culture. You know, targeting and destroying someone’s reputation and livelihood because they have a different viewpoint. Then he asks us to find that middle ground—that middle ground that Bruce’s party and friends have utterly destroyed. That middle ground where people exchange views in civil discourse. He doesn’t believe in that. He believes in ridicule. He believes in censorship.
He reminds me of the physically abusive husband who goes to marriage counselling, lobbying to look innocent, and lobbying the counsellor, making it look like something is wrong with her for not wanting to come home and try again.
There is a word from God for you in here: He is warning His people not to compromise. He is warning us to look at the lies and the overtures to unify and heal coming from Springsteen, Biden, Harris, Obama, and others. They are not seeking middle ground. What they want is total surrender.
They want you and me to lay down our values and our convictions. They want us to abandon God, and they want us all to turn against Trump. Meanwhile, they are not willing to yield an inch.
We cannot yield! We cannot back down. We must remain the firewall against the moral disintegration of America.
The bottom line is this: This commercial and the Democrats want us to look evil for serving God.
Joshua had the perfect answer: “And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Amen.
Amen I was told there was a lot more in that half time mess, the jock strap looking things on there faces, supporting the abusing of little children, and even there close as a satanic ritual, and at the bottom of the flashing flames spelled satan, our country is now showing whom they really want to serve, the celeb crowd any way, a big part of them, its all a big part to close the doors of the true Church of Jesus Christ, they want the Holy Spirit gone, the power and presence gone, no singing, when Psalm 100:4 says to enter his gates with thanks giving, and into his courts with praise, yhats not a suggestion, thats how we are to enter into his presence, but they say don’t sing, when GODS WORD PLAINLY SAYS COME INTO MY GATES WITH THANKSGIVING AND INTO MY COURTS WITH PRAISE, WE GOING TO OBEY GOD RATHER THAN MAN, We as the Church today don’t even know who to pray for, I know it says all men, but I got news for some, some just look like men they are pure devils, seeds of satan, but the church prays for them as well, defeating our own selves many time’s because we don’t know how to really fight or the discernment to know whom we are fighting, go back to Gen 3, and you find satan has a seed, Gen 6 the giants, Mat 24:37 as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be in the coming of the son of man. Meaning the same spirits would be working today, Enoch says they were drinking human blood and eating human flesh, they are many doing this now in Ca. we are up against an evil the Church refuses to see, most don’t know how to fight or who to fight, they fire one shot from our side and then run to the other side and fire back at there own men, a crazy way of fighting, where you can’t hardly defeat the enemy because half the Church is fighting on satans side, lack of discernment and asking the Holy Spirit whom to pray for, congress now prays to all gods, and we want to unite with pure evil, Christians do not ever unite with evil, 2Jhn 1:10If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

We need to ask for understanding, for some fight against the Church and claim to be a Christian, like some who said we should not call in the Military to save this Nation or blood would have been shed. What about the babies who die ever day, the people who commit suicide, who die of drug overdose and other things because the evil has taken over and closed their business’s, and destroying peoples lives, not counting the Nation, by letting many flood in over here, what about the blood of the oone’s who will be killed because of there evil. WE JUST HAVE A LOT TO LEARN ABOUT WHAT IT REALLY TAKES TO KEEP A NATION FREE, AND HOW TO FIGHT IN A SPIRITUAL WAR, WE DON’T WANT TO HURT FEELINGS, WELL THE JESUS AND THE WORD HURTS FEELING THEY TRIED TO STONE HIM MANY TIMES FOR IT, AND WE NEED TO LEARN WHAT IT MEANS TO BE REAL CHRISTIANS, 12 MEN FULL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, TURNED THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN, BUT A 170 MILLION COULD SAVE THIS NATION, OR KEEP MEN OUT OF THE LADIES ROOM, HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM, SOME PEOPLE JUST MESSING, THEY NOT SHOWING WHAT THEY PROFESSING. Many have erroneously thought that verse referred only to the things in & of the world. The second part of the verse clarified it for us, that the LORD spoke of two different subjects.
How do we know these are the last times (1John2:18-19). It is made manifest (to us), those who are not of us.
Jesus tells us (John 12:25) he that hates his life in this world shall keep the (eternal) life.
1Cor 5:9-11 addresses those in the world and does make the distinction from the brother (believer) who lives like the worldly: do not keep company with such. (!)
The lines have been drawn.
Such strict seeming admonishments are necessary for us. For our protection.
2Thess 3:1-7 further instructs us to WITHDRAW from the brother (fellow believer) that walks (lives) disorderly.
v15 YET, do not account that one as an enemy; admonish (by avoiding him) as a brother.
Rightly dividing LORD’s WORD is for our benefit, much protection!!
The “withdrawing from such that live disordered lives” made me think on Mario’s recent call to let our monies speak. Are those people gaining strength by OUR financial support for their businesses?? We need to know!

An Asbury Park Letter to Springsteen About “The Middle” Commercial
Hello Bruce. I grew up in Asbury Park.
We’ve met a few times. Not in any way you’d remember. Just a fan running into you at Asbury’s bars. I have a picture of us meeting at The Jefferson in Asbury in the early 80’s. I was a teenager working the boardwalk and racing Asbury’s “Circuit” in the 70’s. One of the kids “huddled on the beach in the mist,” if you will.
Before I address your metamorphosis from lyricist into political pundit, which I won’t begrudge you if that’s what you wish for yourself, I’ll tell why your songs were so important and meaningful to small town folks like me.
Your lyrics poignantly made known that small town life can be lonely. And hard. If you are without prospects and uninspired, small towns can be a struggle. You find yourself the only soul on a street or a mile stretch of cold boardwalk. Everywhere else on TV seems cosmopolitan and exciting. Your local economy is always receding. Media ignores your town, so you feel unconnected to the world, wondering if anyone knows you’re here.
You know what you did, Bruce? You told our story. You sang about us. Despite the commercial success of Born to Run, that song is an outlier of yours. Your discography isn’t about some Hollywood pipedream of getting out. You recognized the struggle to get through next week, then the week after, until you are buried right where you were born. Far more people have to find happiness doing that than chasing dreams.
Hearing our small-town story told by you, Bruce, created comradery across America. We got to say, “Look, we aren’t extraordinary, but now we can see each other, and the world sees us here too.” It was affirming and glorious. In Asbury Park, where much of your small-town imagery is from, there is an indestructible connection to you. In the times we met, I should have thanked you for telling our story, Bruce.
Love of your songs never required a political position. You were a safe haven from that contest. You were universal and unifying. Unfortunately, over the last decade Bruce, you’ve traded your universality for political partisanship.
I understand the draw to it. It’s a bug that comes with fame, particularly actors and singers. Your lot is encouraged to speak of politics, yet you may not know any better than a laborer talking at a lunch counter. The advantage celebrities have over the rest of us is a microphone and a media that will recite what you say. But if the celebrity isn’t particularly insightful, it’s microphone abuse. It can even be dangerous.
We see actors and singers exemplary in their craft, we love them in their craft, then they stammer, pause and struggle when speaking about politics. Punditry is a talent like acting or singing. Not everyone is good at it.
Just look at your Jeep commercial “The Middle,” played during the Superbowl. Your intent was to unify and bring political sides together. So, did you wake up the day after wondering why it didn’t work? Why on the Internet are the sides you were trying to unify now fighting over “The Middle?” Who rejects a call for unity?
I’ll give you the answer. Pay attention Bruce, because I am good at this.
When the White House changes parties, there is a right and wrong way to call for unity. The wrong way to seek unity is to insist that the other side first admit that they were the problem; that they were why we hadn’t unified in the first place.
In “The Middle” you started out well, then you framed the fight between “freedom and fear” and “darkness and light.” I’m guessing you think your side is freedom and light and the other side is fear and darkness? You think anyone is agreeing to that before “unifying” with you? I promise everyone on the other side sees you as the problem. Did you admit to fear and darkness when the other party won in 2016? All I recall on that inauguration day was “never” this guy, protests and threats. Not unity. Each side thinks, as you do, that they are the middle and the other side extreme.
Let me tell you the right way to seek unity, Bruce.
There is no middle, nor should there be. The “middle” is utopian pablum. American politics is a tug of war that no one should ever win. Sometimes one side pulls hard and we go too far left or right, then the other side pulls harder and we go back. It’s that struggle that keeps America from extremes, not some mythical “middle.” When one side wins a tug of war, the other side is thrown to the ground, defeated and apart. In political terms, that leads to oppression then revolution. May America’s tug of war never end.
I don’t expect you to give up your issues for a “middle” or “unity” (you didn’t in 2016), nor should you expect it of others now. I wouldn’t want that for you. I’d rather recognize you and compete for your interests than create a world where yours are cancelled. You saw me in song in the 1970s. I’m returning the favor and seeing you now, Bruce.
What has developed is a trust issue. Usually when someone spends four years virulently opposing, insulting and obstructing the other party, then their side wins the White House and they ask for “unity,” what they really mean is, “Please don’t treat us the way we treated you for four years. Don’t obstruct us as we obstructed you.” By becoming ultra-partisan, you lost your ability to seek compromise.
Unity is living with differences, not destroying them. You can’t have diversity without differences, can you?
I’m not giving you the old “shut up and sing.” You have the right to speak. Just make sure you have something helpful to say. You can influence the whole world when you’re wrong, so be careful.
I’m not one of those who will throw away your music. Avoiding art for politics is as ridiculous as an artist alienating his fans for politics. Art is more important than politics. ______________________________

We all have the freedom to make choices, and I chose not to watch the Super Bowl, or any pro sports. They (not all ) are a disgrace to our Nation, and it’s very easy for me to turn them off. In these last days, there are far more important things to spend my time doing. Thank you Mario for your continued service in God’s kingdom.
The commercial that featured Bruce Springsteen is very clever. It has pictures of a Church, a cowboy, and a place in Kansas. This was designed to get the attention of three groups of people who tend to be Conservative voters.
The goal of this commercial is not really to get people to “unite.” The intention is to get people to “conform.” If you do not agree with the agenda of the Democrat Party, you must shut your mouth and do as you are told!
I wonder who paid for the production of this commercial. Was it George Soros?

AMEN Bro. Murillo. I have got to say this: you have been speaking the things my dad had/has preached for years (as far back as I can remember). Also, there are things you are speaking, and the works God is doing through your ministries that are exactly what my pastor is preaching (and many others I know of), and the works we are seeing in my part of the country. God is, indeed, sending an outpouring of His Holy Ghost in this last day. Through the years I have heard so many times of the generations that are lost, but here in our area and our Church Fellowship, we are seeing great and mighty things that the Lord is doing through our youth (teens and young adults (even little children)). We are about to start our first East Texas Youth Conference late next week, and our facilities will be full to overflowing (we have a sanctuary with a 400 capacity, and our new building can hold up to 1000). Years ago my husband and I watched Mario on TBN regularly. So happy to have found you again Mario! I marvel at how spot on your messages always are! Thank you for continuing to stand up and expose what’s wrong. I didn’t watch the game, but my husband saw the commercials and told me about it. So sad that people are duped by this show, and I know some of them personally. We’ve been praying regularly for the truth to come out, justice be served, that those pursuing the truth are strong in the Lord, and praying for those who can’t or won’t see the truth. How do you deal with people who say really hateful and vile stuff, such as responding to praying for the people of our nation, that they pray hell opens up and swallows Trump and anyone who supports him? Obviously that’s one of many comments out there, but that’s the consensus. Do we continue praying for them when they’re filled with hate and have made their minds up? I really want to know what to do.

Hope Mario lets me post this. There was a team of people, we went in to walk out Matthew 18:15-17 with House of Eli, Ananias and Sappira, horrific child molestation and wife abuse endeavor and it was easier for the leadership to pray for us to die and curse us with Cancer rather than deal with, examine, inquire of the Lord and address the sin let alone REPENT! Always the final warning, was DO NOT praying for anyone to die or curse ever. Then heard and people relayed they were hearing people praying for people to die, cursing people and it was secular and non-secular situations alike. Team took it public to Report Church Abuse List to deal with or else, believe 2001-2009. Can’t even begin to tell you the true stories of people praying for my team of people to die; meaning, do you want anyone praying for you to die (i’m weeping), I WOULD HOPE NOT!
I’ve been in # of secular meetings, where people were invoking the audience to pray or do voodoo curses admitted to such and I’m appalled and what gets me in trouble, is confronting it and saying what gives you the right to play God; wouldn’t that make you witches and warlocks and gave them Jude 1:9 sobering verse. I went to a couple of very smart, well read in Word people because people were justifying what they were doing based on Bible and or ignorance. It got so bad I went to God until I got an answer because number of meetings based it on Psalms 109:, and other verses. Now keep it mind # of these meetings was Democratic people also where that was going on. Felt like Solomon presenting my case; said the people are doing this and thus is thus. My final question to God was is there ever a situation (which felt it was NEVER, NEVER, NEVER OK) do you pray for people to die and immediate response was “at what point do you want to die”, whew, i personally DO NOT want to get killed by Almighty God the Father and believe me he could have dropped me at anytime and sent me to Hell and been justified but that was his LOVE, Grace, Mercy and long suffering let me tell you! Remember when got the message “are you marked”; Ezekiel 9:6. JESUS LIFE WAS A LIFE OF PRAYER and FORGIVENESS. WE NEED TO BE LIKE HIM and get like him and believe me, it has NOT been easy at all! It’s been going to God and learning to die (die to self), Luke 22:42.

With that said, mostly I was just wondering if we stop praying for these people at some point when they have made it clear they pray for nothing but harm on us and they claim they are Christ’s followers? I know there are always wolves in sheep’s clothing, and I have been praying for them to have the scales removed from their eyes and they know the Truth, but I’ve just been stunned at the viciousness some have shown. It doesn’t surprise me that the halftime “entertainer” produces “music” with dirty lyrics. I never listen to any of it. My ears are not garbage cans. IMO, this is what is destroying the nation. Once a nation loses its youth to the enemy of their souls, it’s lost its future.
The commercials were boring and stupid. I didn’t see one that made me want to buy a product. And hearing some big name hypocrite preach to us about “unity” after all the things he has said about Trump and Conservatives? Yeah, right, just what we want to hear.
So many people would like halftime shows to return to being family entertainment. You’d think they’d get a clue. I personally feel as thought the commercial was something hopeful… maybe Springsteen’s encounter with DWI gave him a new thought about God. He had images of a church more than once. We do need to find the middle more often… it isn’t about left and right all the time, but to come together. I am a Christian and I love Donald Trump and support him. I thought I was seeing some hope. Apparently the left are not happy about this commercial either.
There is hope for all in the Lord, even Bruce, but they must repent and except the Lord Jesus as their savior and follow his ways.

Which Super Bowl LV advertiser got the worst return on its hefty investment? The winner, or rather loser, is clear: Jeep.
As usual, America’s most-watched TV broadcast was quite possibly the most ad-dense broadcast: 57 minutes of commercials in the game itself, as distinct from pregame and postgame coverage, a new record, says the Kantar research firm. Once again, those ads were the most expensive on TV, costing an average of $5.6 million for a 30-second commercial, Kantar estimates, another record, though the CBS broadcast delivered the smallest Super Bowl audience since 2007.
Jeep’s commercial stood out from the crowd in a few ways. It was the longest at two minutes. It showed Bruce Springsteen driving across a flat, wintery Kansas landscape to a tiny chapel at the geographic center of the lower 48 states. His voice-over narration extols the value of being “in the middle”—“a hard place to get to lately,” he says, but “we need the middle.” At the end, the words “To the ReUnited States of America” appear across a map of the U.S.
What could be wrong with a highly produced, uplifting message urging Americans to come together?
As it turns out, plenty. After surveying Twitter and Instagram reactions to the Super Bowl ads, Adweek deemed “Middle” the “most divisive” of them all. Equal numbers loved it and hated it. After an extraordinarily bitter election, it seems quite a few people on both sides are still furious. They’re in no mood to meet in the middle; they want to defeat the enemy. Adweek reports that the Talkwalker brand analysis firm found net sentiment toward the Jeep brand to be –22% after the Super Bowl.
And then, on Wednesday, news emerged that Springsteen had been arrested for drunk driving in November. This is never good news about an ad spokesperson—especially if the advertiser makes cars. Jeep immediately pulled the “Middle” commercial from YouTube, where some of the other Super Bowl ads have been viewed almost a million times.
That’s what Jeep got for its investment, but how much did it invest? Jeep’s parent company, Stellantis, has not responded to a request for the numbers. The company presumably got a volume discount from CBS for buying two minutes, but the cost must have been in the double-digit millions. It’s impossible even to guess how much Springsteen got, but consider that until last Sunday, he had never endorsed a for-profit business in his career. Bob Dylan has done it (in 2014 for another Stellantis brand, Chrysler, during Super Bowl XLVIII), but not Springsteen. Variety reports that Stellantis chief marketing officer Olivier Francois had been pursuing him as a spokesman for a decade. Combine all those factors, and “Middle” may be one of the most expensive TV commercials ever. Maybe even the most expensive.
So let’s recap: Jeep spent a staggering sum on a TV commercial in the most ad-crowded Super Bowl ever—and the least-viewed in 14 years. The ad did the opposite of what it was supposed to do and then had to be removed because the coveted spokesman misbehaved. Unfortunately for Stellantis, “Middle” may merit a spot in the advertising hall of fame.

I did not watch the Superbowl as I am boycotting the NFL. I sure made the correct decision. I had much more fun with my time spent with God.

I just wrote Jeep using the Contact us form on their website and told them I would never buy a Jeep vehicle after their horrible Superbowl ad. I also stated that they offended 80 million people. Then I asked them what credientials BS has to preach to all of us – does he have a degree in ciritical thinking? In political science? Does he even have a degree?
Now I don’t think everyone has to have a degree – not at all. But if you are a celebrity preaching at me about politics, you had better have some credentials under your belt if you want me to listen to you!!!!! I have a Master’s Degree – not to brag – I worked very hard and paid for the classes out of my pocket.
I am sick and tired of celebrities with NO education trying to preach to me on topics where they have ZERO knowledge! And I will not listen. If you are using them to advertise a product, I will NEVER buy that product. I will not forget, as God has gifted me with an excellent memory.

THANK-YOU! Praying for you on the 4th. I am encouraging everyoe in Dallas and Plano by telling them about you and what you are doing and what is happeneing! I will NEVER and I mean NEVER surrender! Yor post brought to mind an incident that happened to me in 1986. A girlfriend and I were to Russia in 1986. (I am female and we were just friends – sorry – today this has to be defined). We were curious. I had read “God’s Smuggler” so we took Russian and Polish Bibles with us. We flew into Berlin, took the train to Stockholm, the boat to Helsinki and the train to Leninegrad (St Petersburg). On the tour we took the train to Moscow and from Moscow we took the train to Warsaw and then back to Berlin. It was eye-opening.
On the afternoon we arrived, we went to East Berlin. We were there about 4 hours. When we went thourgh Security at Checkpoint Charlie to go back to West Berlin, I encountered a Stasi agent who decided to play mindgames with me. I am 5’4″ and weighed about 120 lbs. My heritage is mostly English and Scottish. My family on both sides have been in the US since the 1600’s. I found out that I am 15% Viking (Sweden and Norway) when I had my DNA tested. (That’s a ginormous percentage for an occupation of England in the 900’s!!!!!!!!!) We have done extrensive ancestry studies through the years and there are NO other Swedish or Norwegien ancestors.
Back to the incident that proves I will never surrender! The Stasi man gave me an extremely penetraing look that attempted to go to the bottom of my soul to see if I did any thing bad while in East Berlin. It’s hard to explain. I was UTTERLY OUTRAGED!!!!! I planted my feet, looked into his eyes and DETERMINED that NOTHING would stop me from looking away first. My thought was I will stand here forever until Hell freezes over, but I will not look away first. Not one word was said. World War Three broke out spiritually.
