DO NOT THROW TOMORROW AWAY

Can you recall any of the superficial sermons that were preached by celebrity preachers just a few weeks ago? If so, you must realize that preaching that stuff now would come off as banal and inappropriate enough to cause you to cringe. Back then, under the influence of that type of preaching, many believed life was just a bowl of cherries, and their toughest test was wondering how long it would take God to refill the bowl. Now they are believing for toilet paper.

Those warm and fuzzy sermonettes became useless for life during a pandemic.

Many are jobless. Many have loved ones who are sick. Their children are home from school and falling behind. The eateries, stores, and coffee shops they took for granted are now either closed or will only hand you stuff through the door. And the churches they used to attend are worshiping online.

They stare out the window at a strange new world with no idea how bad it’s going to get, and if or when things will return to normal.  Coronavirus has destroyed their theological innocence.

Many are not only done with those motivational pep talks, they have thrown the baby out with the bath water. They are turning away from their faith and trust in a loving God.

The other extreme this outbreak has led to is the number of believers who now hate the faith-prosperity message. They hate it so much that they are rooting for this virus to cause that message to become extinct. And they are every bit as dangerous as the New Age celebrity pastors.

The Holy Spirit has given me a warning to pass on to every child of God. You had a dream. You had a vision. You were just about to start college, start a business, get married, start a family, write a book, build a building, get a patent on a new invention, or launch out in vibrant ministry for Christ. Then the world seemed to come to an end.

The Bible, and your God-given vision and dream are not beholden to human circumstances. The Book that contains the accounts of people who stopped plagues, raised the dead, and blinded armies isn’t going to cut you any slack. DO NOT THROW TOMORROW AWAY.

Now, the present reality is screaming at you that none of those dreams will ever come true. They say you must downgrade your hopes and dreams to a “new normal.” You must adapt to a shadow existence. That is a lethal lie from the pit of hell! I want this blog to be the electrode paddles that will kick-start your visionary heart once again.

GOD IS COMMANDING YOU—DO NOT THROW TOMORROW AWAY!

Do you honestly think that God didn’t know this was coming when He gave you that vision, idea, commission, or calling?  God didn’t just sit down and say, “Oh well, My child, I guess I won’t be able to do what I called you to do. I never factored in this virus thing.”

Furthermore, just because some have abused the truths of Faith and Provision, that does not change the truth about Faith and Provision. Romans 3:3 asks a burning question, “What if some were unfaithful? Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God?”

Giving up on faith because of the virus is like losing faith in your gun because a burglar got in your house. This crisis doesn’t mean our faith doesn’t work—this is what our faith is for!

Kenneth Hagin did not get his revelation of the faith message during an economic boom. He got it in the depths of the Great Depression. Hagin saw faith intervene in a time of grinding poverty.

Alexander Dowie didn’t launch his healing ministry when divine healing was all the rage. He did it after the bubonic plague killed 40 members of his church. After he launched his healing ministry, no one else died in his church, and an international ministry was born.

I remember when circumstances and outward appearances caused a great evangelist I knew to back off from an important part of his message. Over dinner he told me, “Mario, the poverty was so great in the Philippines that I couldn’t preach prosperity.” I corrected him by asking, “Would you also not preach healing because they were too sick?”

Don’t you dare throw tomorrow away! Joshua 3:5 is your verse: “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will work wonders among you.”

What does ‘sanctify’ mean? It means clean up your act! This is not a time to be stunned by events. It’s time to train, prepare, pray, study and write the vision plainly so you can run with it. Fan the fading embers back into a roaring flame.

This crisis will go away. What will never go away is the regret of what you might have done for God if you hadn’t thrown it away. DO NOT THROW AWAY TOMORROW!

Cast not away your confidence which has great recompense of reward. Confidence will sustain you in the middle of the mess. God makes a way where there is no way because He is the way. Consider His Covenant Faithfulness, not the contradictions and chaos. Paul learned to be content everywhere and in all things. Contentment is a great weapon in your arsenal. Phil. 4:11-13

      Wowie Zowie Mario!!
Now that’s why I’ve stuck with hearing you for the last 33 years. Because YOU get it!
You have the burning ember of the fire of God in your belly and its not been doused out yet.

Your kind are getting harder and harder to find.⭐️

    Mario,
All your blogs are good, passionate, on the jugular target. Some are absolutely great. And then you write one that deserves to slide into another category. “Do not throw tomorrow away” is phenomenal. King David lived two worlds; one as a worshipper and the other, a military strategist. He knew how to separate them, and when to use them for the advantage of his nation. So do you.

In this piece, you’ve given your world some needed strategical encouragement, a distinctive voice from the gifted prophetic tone you carry.

    Thank you for this today.

    Stay at it. It’s working.

The anointed truth of God always works when you preach it boldly in the contradictions. The word of God is never bound.

I find two groups of Christians (religious, not believers) who do not trust G-D but rather put their trust in men. One is the prosperity types. They want to popular. The other are the self righteous who put their trust in their own holiness. They love thinking of themselves as more righteous and that everyone else is going to hell. Neither group wants a movement of G-D that would disrupt their little security bubble.

BTW we also see a lot of self righteous on the left as well.

I had to repent when I read this. I admit that I got side-tracked, but I’m focused on Him again. What a relief!

Unfortunately a lot of the superficial messages continue with hashtags like #keepthepositivity. The reason I learned about Mario is because he was saying ‘judgment, with Hope” rather than pretending there was nothing wrong. I agree, don’t throw away tomorrow. But my issues with the prosperity movement began two years ago… The virus just game me time and inspiration to finally look at what the Word says, and I found a lot of things I thought I believed were unbiblical. Here’s how I would sum it up:
No God did not intend for us to live in sickness – He did not intend for us to live in sin either. No He did not intend us to live in poverty – He did not intend us to live in rebellion against Him either.
Perhaps God simply knows more than we do. Perhaps instead of seeking health, wealth, and escape from temptation, we should be seeking Him and trusting His Word, spreading the Gospel, and looking with eagerness to His coming. This life is still temporary.
God doesn’t have sickness to give any more than He has temptation but He does know that in this world we will have trouble. I don’t have a problem with the belief that God wants us to do well, except that it is not His priority (or else there would never be martyrs) and it should not be ours either. His first priority is that men be saved from their sin, eternity will take care of the rest. By preaching a gospel that focuses on the gifts, and not calling men to repent (Mario does, which is why I’m still reading his blogs, but much of WoF does not) we leave men in their sin and promise them a God that gives them whatever they want. That’s what I have an issue with.
I’m personally doing my best not to throw out the baby with the bathwater. It’s not easy. Those who leave WoF often become cessationists, which I will never be. But neither can I continue to promote those who are not calling men to repentance.

I am finding especially during this time coming close to Pentecost on May 31, God is speaking loudly, take your neighborhoods, and claim them as God’s territory and your prayer focus must be all the people around you! It is all about God claiming His right to His people. Claiming His right of Supreme Salvation through is His Son who now sets on His thrown. God is bending down with His burning eyes and unconditional Love taking hold of every single one of His Creation and speaking. “These are all mine take your hands off my Beloveds!” My Elite, I hear your cry Let my people go!

It’s time to stop instructing God’s people to go to church to find God. It’s time instruct Gods people to pray, fast, and wait on God to find the church. The church they find will not be the church they left. The church they find will lead the church they left and remove all their stumbling blocks. 39 days and 5 Sabbaths since The Feast of First Fruits (Resurrection Sunday / Easter). 11 days and 2 Sabbaths remain till The Feast of Weeks (Pentecost). Wait, fast, and pray for The Spirit of Power and Righteousness to come to God’s faithful and chosen ones. The Holy Spirit knows where we need to go and the fastest way to get us there. Holy, Holy, Holy is our God. Praise Yah!

I have a definite dream and I’m not about to let the Enemy steal it with his virus or anything else. Thank you for the encouragement, Pastor Mario.

  14. Believer

For several months the following scripture has been in my heart and I believe it is for now:
Then the Lord said: “I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the Lord, will do for you….” Exodus 34:10-11 NIV.

  15. NewHeavenOnEarth

“Joshua 3:5 is your verse: “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will work wonders among you.”
Today, now, God consecrates and sanctifies us in the truth, in Christ, sending us into this world, consecrated in truth, in Christ, so we can see wonders in the midst of a pandemic, “by purity, knowledge, forbearance, kindness, the Holy Spirit, genuine love, truthful speech, and the power of God (John 17:17-19; 2 Cor 6:2-7) “with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left” (2 Cor 6:7). Faith over fear! Righteousness by Faith! Kingdom righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit! Preaching the kingdom and teaching about the real Lord Jesus Christ, not their cleverly devised myths and alternate gospels!

      Newheavenonearth,
Whoa!!! You just quoted 1 of my 3 favorite power packed scripture texts…“with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left”…????
      Now couple that with,
We cast down every imagination and any high thing that would exalt itself against the knowledge of God bringing INTO captivity EVERY thought to the obedience of Christ.
      Because,
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but MIGHTY through GOD to the pulling down of strongholds!!! There it is two handed righteousness at work.??
Now that’s what makes us FORMIDABLE.??

Wow! I thought I knew the names of God’s generals from days gone by but I had never heard of Alexander Dowie! I will be looking him up.

Not throwing my future away, Mario. Lots to look forward to!

I am deeply Thankful for our Lord’s anointing you to write VESSELS OF FIRE & GLORY. It has helped me A LOT!!!! It has lifted me UP and Inspired me greatly…..MARIO, YOU ARE A BLESSING TO ME AND I AM SURE TO MILLIONS. I Press On in the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and all that HE has done and is doing through HIS Special Servants.

  18. Jeff

I keep running into this verse or references to this verse lately–Habakkuk 2:2: “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run”, and I see it referenced again above. How do we do that? What am I missing here that should be doing?
