If this doesn’t cause the Church of Jesus Christ to arise, nothing will. Several weeks ago, I issued a warning that has now become painfully real. I predicted that the Democrats on the Left would use the pandemic to permanently control the church.
On May 1, I had written: “Long after the virus is no longer a viable threat, every State under Democrat rule will keep churches closed as long as possible. And even after they allow us to open, there will be permanent irrational limitations placed on us.”
And these were my exact words on March 15: “Few things are more dangerous right now than the state drifting from justifiable health guidelines into police brutality. Only a fool doesn’t know about the growing outright hostility toward Christians in the Blue states. Their mouths are watering at the prospect of shutting down churches. They are looking for any excuse, and we must rebuke all demonic power and ask God to cause the fire of revival to fall on churches everywhere. The disruption of churches in America is from Satan. Pure and simple.”
Kansas City, MO, Mayor Quinton Lucas (D) issued the threat I warned you about: “As Kansas City begins reopening, the local government is requiring every church who wishes to provide services to turn in, when asked, a detailed list of every person who enters their building for services, including name, phone number, and address, so city officials can use it for surveillance and tracking purposes. Failure to comply could result in up to 6 months in jail and the church being completely shut down.”
Do you honestly believe their surveillance will end after the pandemic? Do you think the data they collect will be deleted as soon as the virus is gone? Red China has nothing on Missouri.
Any pastor, who won’t risk jail rather than comply with this order, is, in my opinion, a traitor to the Constitution, his people, and his Bible. There, I said it.
The situation gets darker. Sacramento, California is the seat of this revolution to undo the rights of churches by using the virus as an excuse. They make Mayor Quinton look like a moderate when it comes to planning and executing a police state.
California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) admits the pandemic was the opportunity to pull the pin out of the grenade. When he was asked if he saw the virus as a political opportunity to advance progressive policies he said: “There is opportunity for reimagining a [more] progressive era as it [relates] to capitalism,” Gov. Newsom said. “So yes, absolutely we see this as an opportunity to reshape the way we do business and how we govern.”
Thus, California formed the Western States Alliance. Their prima facie purpose is to coordinate the reopening of California, Oregon, Nevada, and Washington. We know that this newly formed politburo will exert power long after the reopening. They will work together to force socialism and atheism on America. The U.S. Constitution is in their crosshairs.
This is California’s opportunity to accelerate their plan to weaken the local church and ultimately erase Christian influence from America.
Remember Assembly Bill 2943? Back in 2018, California tried to pass a bill that would have left a loophole open to make the Bible a “fraudulent document that could be banned,” because the Bible is opposed to “sexual orientation change.”
Now they are wounding the church by using nebulous guidelines for reopening. Get this: They keep changing the rules to keep pastors off balance and delay their public gatherings until it weakens all churches, and closes some church doors for good.
Gavin Newsom said that first he will go after capitalism and then he is saying, “wait’ll I get my hands on the church.”
The next step is to sneak in new rules for how the church will operate. Social distancing may continue indefinitely, putting an onerous burden on churches. It will be a political siege designed to force churches to cave, and decide it is not worth it to buck the system.
So what does all this mean? And what action does it demand?
First, we must admit they have declared an evil war on us. We must quit being cowards, and face the truth. They are doing evil. They want to drive the church underground. Doubt that fact, and you are part of the problem. Say it is someone else’s responsibility, and you are helping evil destroy America.
You know they are breaking Federal Law and the Constitution. Every believer must wake up and do their indisputable duty: to oppose this evil. The price of apathy at this point is incalculable. The curse you are putting on your children and grandchildren is a nameless horror.
What specific action should we take? Our action must first be to enter into Spiritual Warfare, but it cannot end there. Our battle plan is drawn from 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, “The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ…”
By the power of fervent intercession and unction in preaching, we must destroy the sophisticated argument that says the church should be oppressed by government, long after the pandemic is gone.
Then, when there is no reasonable danger of infection, pastors must reopen their churches, and if necessary, practice civil disobedience to laws that would keep their church shutdown for any reason that is demonstrably a matter of persecution and not a health issue. If enough churches do this, it will go to the Supreme Court, and the states will lose power.
Furthermore, preachers must tear up every talking point that California, and the Western Alliance demands you to preach in your pulpit. We must make it a matter of life and death to remain faithful to the Word of God.
Beyond that, we must operate our churches under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. If God wants your church packed out, then forget what the state wants.
Now, listen to me as you have never listened. Jesus said, “On this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it” Matthew 16:18.
Do you believe that verse? The ‘gates’ referred to are not just physical gates, but plans and strategies.
Jesus will never allow the plans that hell has to destroy the Church He is building. If we want the power of this promise, we must be the Church He is building—we must build His Church, right through the gates of Sacramento, if necessary.
“But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.” ACTS 20:24. Martyrdom is waiting around the corner in America.

Matthew 16:18, “I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” In mid march, the Lord showed me a fiery collision in the heavenlies. I saw a fiery, powerful struggle taking place. I asked God what I had seen, and I felt it was a collision of the church and the angel armies against an onslaught of hell against the earth and the church. Faith against fear. Satan on a rampage, knowing his time is short. I believe this is a dress rehearsal for the coming to power of the antichrist. Pray as never before, there is a war going on in the heavenlies. I remember when I would get the Voice of the Martyrs magazine and a giant world map would be attached and all the countries that were suffering persecution. Now America can be included as a country suffering persecution on a large scale from its own governing officials and fellow citizens. The Church is being rendered non-essential and in the eyes of the current Babylon culture, Christians are a menace and a cancer. May we individually repent and collectively stand in the gap for the entire American Church as Daniel, Ezra, and Nehemiah did for their people and may God empower us with Holy Ghost Fire to fight in the Spirit and at the ballot box. Please read the Declaration of Independence again and be awed by the awesome privilege we have to be living in the United States of America and to have the form of Government we have. Hebrews 10:25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. More importantly, if we sheepishly give up our rights when we should take a stand, they will go after other rights. Soon they will ban us on the internet like China does. We must push back now.

Always, our strength is in the LORD meeting with us as we assemble together and seek His face, praise and worship, share the Table of the LORD, etc. But these “rules” to protect ourselves make fools of us in the biblical sense – fearing man and disease as though there were no God.
Then let the church doors close and let the True Church of the Lord…the One who the gates of hell cannot prevail against come forth!
The vanity of spiritual leadership is that they believe that the church rises or falls by their hand, when it is evident that the faith in which we believe today has survived the failure of men, religion, church apostasy, hedonism and every other ism which satan has unleashed. It is the Spirit, and the Spirit alone who has blown, breathed and broadcasted His love, His grace and His mercy into the hearts of men through all these 1000’s of years.
I know someone who says the same thing as you about not needing the formal building to worship. He says he worships God all the time not just at church. He was doing well in his walk with the Lord when he was in a local fellowship but since he stopped attending he has fallen away from his former commitment to God. He is only one of many I know that this has happened to. The church and the people in it are vital for fellowship with like minded people and also accountability. Also we do not live only for ourselves but through taking part in the many outreaches the church offers.
I completely agree Mom, we need the community of church. The best thing for me in church is the multitude worshipping God bringing his presence into ours. Everyday I thank Jesus for saving me from my life of sin and I desire to be connected to the church, the pastor, and the people within.

Mario, I started watching you with Robby Dawkins, and I am so glad I “met” you! I started getting your blog right away, and the first one I read was, I believe, “The 5 Things You Must Do During the Shutdown”. I have followed them all and knew I was loving this time, not living in fear or boredom. Well–I was never in fear, but very disturbed at what was happening. So after some time with this, I had to write a long post on Facebook yesterday, talking about what I was not doing (vegging out in front of a television) and what I was thriving on. My joy is over the top, my relationship with Jesus has continued to thrive as well. And yesterday I prayed for two people in the usually empty halls of the building where I live. One was l leaving work because he was in pain. I just saw him, and he thanked me because he is still pain-free. But most of all, I see no reason to change what I am doing after we are allowed to resume some of the things we have been used to. Thank you for your heart, for your speaking truth, and the encouragement–real encouragement–you give.

If you have not warned all your “churches” to recind their 501c3 status, then you have not warned them at all.
Faith based entities already have tax exempt status through the 508c1a.
The 501c3 status is a luciferian contract, and any church that had it has sold it’s power to the government.
Repent, recind, or take what you signed up for.

I wonder if this persecution is exactly what a lukewarm church needs. If they stop the freedom of assembly in a church building, why not shift going from house to house instead? I would never willingly invite persecution like this, but reformation of structure is critical to any revival and deep repentance necessary as the violence of “heaven on earth” continues. We live in exciting times.

We stand by their original words which they walked back to a suggestion. The threat of shutdown and jail was real.
Whether it was a suggestion or a direct threat is immaterial. Years ago I was involved in ISO where I was taught how to “improve” manufacturing techniques. It starts off as a suggestion:”It would be good…”. Then it moves to be involved in the company’s internals. Finally it uses threats through exclusion. Over the years I have noticed this consistent format being used. Consider the steps: Even the Roman Empire did this.
Mr Barr stated he would not allow these Gov’s to violate the churches constitutional rights. And if they are ONLY doing this to Christian churches but not Mosques then it is also a violation of equal protection under the law. Mr Barr needs to step in NOW. And we need to pray continually for God’s to protect his churches.

We have watchmen like Mario, we need intercessors and those of honor and valor (in God’s Kingdom) to rise and not fall for the coming of a Great Harvest is waiting in the balance. I see how God has placed Donald Trump strategically as a wrecking ball to the world but also as a buffer for God to extend His mercy and grace; to allot more time to unfold His plans and purposes upon the Earth; to save the lost and increase His Kingdom.
The Body of Christ will never look the way it did before and if it attempts to you must flee for the enemy has deceived many and will not relent. His name is Quinton LUCAS and he did change the order on May 4th to “recommend” rather than require and “houses of worship” rather than churches and “houses of worship keep their rosters and only notify attendees if their congregants have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus. Houses of worship are not required to give lists to any government agency.” The orders were changed because good men and women of God stood up and defended their freedoms and the mayor took immediate action.
The mayor can change it to a “suggestion” all he wants, but he has shown his true heart. This was a test balloon, to see how hard he can push. A woman was just given 7 days and jail and fined 700.00 for opening her business, even though some businesses are opening right now. These are power-hungry mayors, governors, law-enforcement, who smell blood in the water and intend to go after churches and Christians will all they can. I read a report this morning of someone who works in DC and said that he is sick at the way he sees democrats gloating, cheering, and laughing over the numbers of lost jobs, infections, and the collapse of the economy. They are certain that they will now have Trump cornered and victory is theirs in Nov. They have darkened, cold hearts, that do not care about the country or the hurting. It is about power and staying in office till they can retire and continue to soak the taxpayers during retirement. They think they will still be living the good life when socialism takes over, while the rest of us are in bread lines. They are in for a surprise when the one-world leader does actually take over.
I agree with you, but the push back changed things this time and the Body of Christ got together and said no. Liberty Counsel threatened a law suit and our voices were heard. Small victory? Not to me. And in Texas, I’m so proud of how Christians (and the gov and the attorney gen) are taking up for Ms. Luther. I believe everything you’ve said here, but perhaps God is giving us a little more time to rescue the perishing and spread the news of Jesus. Perhaps.

Father, You are full of mercy and many have not sold out to the world and love You and long to do Your Word and will in the earth. We are here listening for all You’d have us DO. This is why we will see more and more house churches. We are already ‘conditioned’ to sit in our living rooms. The house church movement will do well, but is no guarantee of safety. Persecutors will do what they can to interrupt it, but cannot stop it. While we need to sit and receive an important word from an anointed ministry in a church facility, I believe the time will come for the people to gather in homes to discuss the content of the messege and take part in ministering to one another, break bread, etc. Jesus wants relationships developed in the home setting. Mario and Mechelle will be invited to come and share what’s on their heart and then everyone can join in and go over the latest word from the Lord. Building relationships with one another and cultivating a closeness in Christ in the home setting will begin to grow across the nations. Watch for more Evangelists and Prophets to arise with tent ministries, as well. Revival fires will be spreading everywhere. This is what I see up ahead.

You’ve certainly found an audience. The church in America is not persecuted. Certainly not by historical standards. No one is suggesting that churches can’t return to meetings. You said in the article that once there is no threat from the virus churches should be allowed to meet, and there is no reason to suggest that won’t be the case.
It’s sad to me that so many in the church like to claim persecution over the slightest inconvenience. If God isn’t big enough to heal people from a distance, why do we even pray? If God isn’t present in our daily lives, why believe in Him at all?
It is not easy being separated from those we love, but it’s in everyone’s best interest. I’m not sure what your angle is in hyping this nothingburger up into what you’ve tried to make it in the article, but I suspect you’ll have some explaining to do come judgement day for intentionally misleading people and causing them to turn their eyes from Jesus.
Did you just say the church is not persecuted in America? Did you not just see Franklin Graham get kicked out New York City for believing the Bible? And since when should we allow civil rights to be violated simply because the victim has it better now than at other times in history or has it better than their counterpart in other countries?
Did you say no one is saying we can’t meet? Why then were pastors arrested for meeting? Patriots and Christians are protesting the violation of freedom of religion guaranteed in the First Amendment.
If you do not believe that our rights are being violated, that’s fine. We disagree. But if you think we are wrong to stand up for our rights because Christians had it worse at other times—that is ludicrous.
I am glad you are having an easy time right now, and that this is a nothing burger to you. But the total destruction of small business, and permanent damage to small churches is a cure that is now much worse than the disease. And to accuse me of misleading people without presenting a shred of evidence that I lied about anything, and accusing me of taking people’s eyes off of Jesus is pretty low.

Dear mr. Murillo, please let me point respectfully out that your whole speech is flawed by a false assumption: that being patriot is equal to being Christian. That’s not the case. There are lots of U.S. citizens who are patriots and proud of it that are not Christians at all (or, say, are Muslims or Jews, though non-believers are generally by far the next largest “religious” group after Christians in the Western countries). The U.S. are not a Christian nation: they are a secular nation with secular laws which majority of citizens are followers of several Christian confessions (say Catholics, Episcopalians, Baptists, and so on).
Wisely, the founders of the U.S. didn’t establish a State religion, nor allowed the establishment of any…
In Europe many churches, including Catholic ones, and just in Italy, the craddle of Christianity, and the Pope itself said that it is a painful but necessary measure. But generally, it’s an accomplished fact that religion has nothing to do with civil life, and one is considered a good or bad citizen with no regard with their religion.
That said, I wouldn’t be so scared by Atheism: generally whereas is true that Atheists are not prone to martyrdom, are also not used to kill others in the name of their religion, which happens too oftens amongst believers 🙂

I couldn’t agree more that America is not a Christian nation. A Christian nation would not be guilty of killing millions of innocent babies through abortion. We have tragically strayed from our roots.

We must not wait for it to be deemed “safe” to return to church. It needs to be now, with no fear, and knowing we are fully protected by God. Those with no fear, should be allowed to go to church and gather together today.
The right to assemble (& travel) is protected by the Tenth Amendment of the Constitution, is it not?!

We are to remain under Authority. We are to obey God but we are to be submissive to man’s laws. If the law goes against the bible, we obey God but submit to the punishment for disobeying. This is what Daniel did, He prayed to God but went into the Lions Den. The 3 Hebrews guys didn’t bow to the idols and then walked into the furnace. We are to Obey God but submit to man. We already know the ending of the story anyways. God will allow evil it’s time on earth, that evil will make war with the saints and overcome them. They kill us ALL day long, and we are like sheep to the slaughter. Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to Heaven. No other name works. Repent (that means stop sinning), Ask Jesus to be Lord over your life and ask him to forgive you of your sins.
