Jesse Duplantis asked his partners for 54 million dollars for a new jet. Duplantis is being roundly condemned for this. Here’s what I have to say about that…
There is no way I would spend 54 million on a jet. I sit up nights interceding about what I would do with a windfall. I am wired totally different. I have a plan from the Holy Spirit that involves signs and wonders, technology, multiplication, training, and mass invasion in dark and poor areas.
However, and some of you will not like this: Jesse is a man of God. He loves God. He loves people. He says God told him to ask for this money. So, unless you can show A: Where the Bible says he can’t, or shouldn’t ask. B: You are willing to say God showed you Jesse is lying then don’t lump him in with the real fakes who are stealing money from the Body of Christ.
There are many abuses! Anger over those abuses is threatening to do something awful. It is the reason for my message. We are seeing the return of a poverty mentality—a mentality that will make blanket condemnations, and undermine faith to believe God for the provisions we need to protect our loved ones and the weapons to win this nation back to God. One man whom I know has been falsely accused is Kenneth Hagin.
Kenneth Hagin never taught, or used the term “prosperity gospel.” In my opinion, he didn’t even teach word of faith—he simply taught the Word of God. He took neglected truths and presented them in their proper scriptural order.
We had been subnormal so long that the return to normal looked abnormal. His book The Midas Touch does an excellent job of exposing abuses and clarifying the Bible’s position on giving and receiving.
Here are the reasons we have no excuse to return to a poverty mentality:
Abuses do not nullify the promises of God! Romans 3:3 asks a powerful question: “For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?” If someone abuses faith—abuses prosperity—abuses fundraising, they do it out of unbelief. But their unbelief, and their abuses do not nullify the promises of God to prosper us.
Abundance is God’s idea not man’s: The idea that God wants to give you abundance did not originate with some oily late night shyster. Most importantly, the promise of abundance is for everyone who believes.
I was out to dinner with a very famous evangelist. He had just returned from the Philippines. “The poverty was so great” he said, “I simply couldn’t talk to them about prosperity.” So I asked him gently, “were they also too sick to hear about healing?”
Jesus told the disciples of John, “tell John, the poor have the good news preached to them.”-Luke 7: 44
So I ask you what is the good news to the poor? Let’s ask Jesus: Luke 4:18 18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed.
For each of these groups Jesus promises is a benefit beyond salvation. To the broken heart—a healed heart, to the captive—liberty, to the blind—sight, to the poor—provision.
Now you know why I receive offerings in the inner city. I know that if the poor learn to become givers, they will see a miracle that will break the vicious cycle of poverty.
Overflow amounts are God’s idea not ours: Jesus said, “Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
Look at the descriptions of the amounts: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over.
Look at another example of an overflowing amount is in 2 Corinthians 9:6 “…and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” And we all know the words of Malachi “you will not have room to contain it.”
Why would Satan work so hard to pervert a beautiful truth right now? He knows the danger of righteous people having much more than they need. He knows what they will do with wealth.
There are a lot of angry Christians out there. Some glorify their lack because they are jealous of those who have been bold to believe. It’s like the older brother of the prodigal son who was angry and jealous that his brother was given a great feast:
Luke 15: 29 “So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. 30 But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’ 31 “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.” This brother never bothered to ask.
Instead of torturing yourself wondering why others are blessed—or sit around sulking about how much holier you would be with money than others…why don’t you surrender yourself to God—get rid of your unbelief and accept James’ explanation of your problem: “You have not because you ask not.”
Its like anything, if someone does not like content turn the dial and move on.
If its a matter of seeing jesse duplantis as less than modest and financialy irrisponsible dont give to him then.
I dont think it glorifys God to shame him.
It only gives the enimy room to blaspheme.
Unless there is sin or docterine issues that are violated.
Right comes out right and wrong comes out wrong.
The Lord is quite capable of rendering judgment.
If its carnal excess on mr duplantis part his donors are also going to be held to an account for bad stewardship.
I would say give to Mario Murillo ministries at least its obvious that money is going to soul winning.
Such a good commentary Brother Mario! All the “hate” and divisiveness among the body of Christ is certainly not what Jesus prayed for in John 17. Jesse is a man of God and is being taken to task by a group of Believers who have jumped on the world’s bandwagon of hate and division in my opinion. Good Word my brother!

Mario I do have some issues with footage I have seen of conventions with Mr Hagan and his disciples back in the 80s.
Is it an attack against somone and hate to bring up somthing that is obviously disturbing?
Strange manifestations that if an unbeliever were to walk in and see would send them running for the door?

Just like on many other thing’s we need understanding, I am against making the plan of salvation all about money and not about soul’s, but I believe and stand on his promise’s made in the first part of Due. 28, and other part’s of the bible, but we are NOT TO SEEK THE MONEY, HERE IS WHERE OTHER SPIRIT’S COME IN, WE SEEK GOD, AND HE WILL ADD THE REST, we can’t help any body or get the gospel out with out money, as far as Jesse if his people want to buy him two Jet’s it’s nothing to me, but a lot of people think there going to get blessed by what some say, and they want even pay there tithes, and the word say’s you are cursed if you don’t pay them Mal. 3, but it also as you said give and it shall be given back to you, good measure, press down shaken together and running over, but a lot don’t even want to pay there tithes they try to say, you just give what you want, NO that’s alms not tithes, 10 percent is tithes, and we sure can’t out give God, we owe the 10 percent to him, what we give over is what we get richly blessed for, poverty is a CURSE, but I have seen you have to watch how and what you ask for, because the enemy is just lurking to offer you thing’s if you have a certain call on your life and are a threat to him, and he will try and trick you, he has me many time’s for he know’s I won’t take it from him, so he tried to trick me. THERE’S A BIG DIFFERANCE IN MAKING IT A PROSPPERITY GOSPEL, AND EXPECTING WHAT GOD HAS PROMISED US IN HIS WORD. BE BLESSED
Ive heard so many arguments against tithing.
The question is why would someone not want to support the work of God in there local church.
Thats like the JW’S not celebrating christmas.
Its because they are cheap and dont want to buy presents for anyone.
Catching the spirit of giving is not as much taught as experienced through faith.

I was taught to tithe by my parents.
I am 65 years old and I believe God’s Word
I have attempted to pay, give or whatever out of my earnings as God’s Word teaches for extended periods of time. I am the only wage earner in my house and that is the way it has been for 43 of the last 48 years.
For those years my income has been stretched just try to keep my head above water.
I had a new pastor come in and refused to not let me sing at our church. This same pastor while trying to build my faith offered me a proposition that if I paid my tithes for 3 months and my bills wasn’t current at the end of 3 months he would give all my money back that i had given. I allowed him to counsel me and help me with my finances
I took my budget into his office every Sunday afternoon and he and I would make the checks to pay the bills. This processes went on for 3 months. The pastor saw and knew that I had tried. We were both praying, but praying real hard the 3rd month. But at the end of 3 months he looked and saw I was almost two weeks behind with all the late payment fees on top of missed payments. The preacher did not keep his promise. Needless to say I respected him still. But I did ask him to tell the deacon board, which i do not believe, because the next Sunday he resigned. And the deacon board never approached me.
I quit preaching when I lost a church because I didn’t give all my tithes.
How could I tell a congregation to trust God when I can’t
There is another part of Deuteronomy 28 also.
I have EARNESTLY asked God to show me or my wife what we are doing wrong. My wife also pushed hard for me to give and I turned the bookkeeping over to her and one month later she gave it back to me.
We have both prayed.
Yes I have seen some help come in a small portion
I do not ask God to give me extra, but just to keep me even with my bills
I am not jealous of those that have extra
I had one person to tell me to quit giving expecting God to give back
I am retired
If i have a need, am I not to ask God to meet my needs
