We can and should have power. We should be winning millions. Medically confirmed healings should be a norm. Hardened sinners should be collapse before the might of God’s presence in our meetings.
What makes our present defeat, so vexing, is that it is so unnecessary. We have the best message in the world. Everything hurting our nation can be healed by the Holy Spirit. There is no raging debate today that is not solved by the Gospel. There is no injustice that cannot be cured by Christ.
Instead, we put our worst foot forward. We teach light and airy, even silly things—things that not only bounce off the unchurched—they weaken the churched.

When you finally see who the Holy Spirit is, and what His active role should be…our current condition will horrify you.

Jesus said in John 16:7 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore, I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”
All church life must flow out of the Holy Spirit. He is the leader of the worldwide conviction of sin and righteousness. He is our key to decode a culture. Our relevance is from Him. Our organizational structure is by Him. He is the exclusive purveyor of everything Jesus must give earth.

Here are just two examples of how practical dependency on the Holy Spirit in the early church solved massive crisis:
“As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” -Acts 13:2
-“For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things…-Acts 15:28
The power and blessing of those two Spirit-born strategies continues to this hour. The first, created the New Testament Churches—hence the New Testament. The second, is the reason we have one and not two New Testaments. Without this guidance, the controversy would have led to a Jewish New Testament and a Gentile New Testament.
It is easy to point the finger at mega churches. We can say they are muscle-bound with marketing and have little impact on America’s destruction. However, many of my Spirit-filled brothers and sisters are also guilty of gross sins against the Holy Spirit. (They may be even worse sins because they include jaw-dropping hypocrisy). Here are some of their crimes:
They are guilty of dropping the God card. When Charismatic leaders ban the gifts of the Spirit from operating and say God told them to do it—it is a sin against Jesus. When leaders become territorial and refuse to work with other leaders to win souls in their city and blame God, they quench the Holy Spirit.
They drop the God card if they make intercessory prayer and the prophetic, open-ended excuses not to reach out. How many spirit-filled gatherings make no appeal for souls to be saved? Answer: Almost all of them. How can this be God?

They turn weapons into toys: 2 Corinthians 10:3 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…”
Have you ever seen anything more cringe-worthy than a convention of grownups dressed in medieval and gothic costumes playing Dungeons and Dragons with Styrofoam swords? Sadly, yes.
The top cringe is reserved for spirit-filled meetings where weapons—meant for strongholds of Satan—are squandered on bored saints lusting for yet another emotional experience. Their shenanigans are blamed on the Holy Spirit. Most are just self-centered believers binging on fantasy blessings.
I can’t shake the image of an army removing all the bullets, to play bang-bang in the barracks. But what a crime to do it with gifts designed to clean out crack houses.

You had to learn not to trust the Holy Spirit. That statement is saturated with conviction and hope. Tragically, church life often leads away from the Holy Spirit. However, the hopeful part is, you learned not to trust which means all you must do is go back to the simple days when you were truly led of the Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is seeking people to use on a massive scale. At this moment, Mario Murillo Ministries is struggling to respond to all the open doors. We are watching the promise of widespread harvest fulfilled right before our eyes. There are many openings right now for effective ministry.
The Holy Spirit seeks workers. Matthew 9: 37 “Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
The Holy Spirit is looking for workers—not self-promoted apostles, prophets, and ozone warriors. Every leader wants this but doesn’t realize it: you want workers—people who will do work and not posture about their spiritual rank. We are teeming with people who want recognition but won’t lift a finger for the real work.
Jesus’ prayer revealed the harvest, targeted the harvest and prayed for workers to go to the harvest. When you do not welcome the Holy Spirit’s passion for the lost—you do not welcome Him.

Wow, yes! Romans 8:14 says, “Those (people) who are (being) led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.” We need to be Spirit-led, not Purpose Driven. If you are not being led by the Spirit, then what? Either you are a child of God or you are not. There’s nothing in between. Either you’re a saint or you ain’t!
Truth be told
I would pray that Holy Spirit Pre empt our services so people that have never had the chance in the visible church to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and understand that he is alive and is the active power of Jesus on earth and in the true believer.
I say to the people ‘You can have as much Jesus and Holy Spirit in you and operating in the activities of the Holy Spirit ( gifts) that God has given to the believers or church. And you do have have is much as you want {sad and minimal faith} What ever you put in to something is what you will get out of it.

How about giving us some SPECIFIC EXAMPLES of WHO the perpetrators are that are doing the
wrong things here you have stated ? For the sake of “unity” or WHATEVER, most will only name
what, and NOT WHO. Not all of us have matured enough in spiritual matters like discernment to
be able to detect and KNOW who to listen to, and who NOT to listen to. Are there not some “big name” people who have a lot of people following and listening to them ? But in the meantime, until
we find a Christian “leader” who will call out THOSE that are doing wrong, by name, and as a
warning for them to repent and straighten up, and for others to be warned, we have this Scripture
to read and heed about those who are “having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof : from such turn away.” (2 Timothy 3:5)

it is clear, Mario Murillo is being a gentleman, just as The Holy Spirit would Be and have us all to be gentleman and ladies requiring others. Naming “specific” names in today’s current mainstream church culture would also be very difficult because of how far off base theologically so many high profile Christian leaders have actually gotten.
One good way I have found to discern a Pulpit where The Holy Spirit is invited and extremely welcome or not–is by this method…If the first thing the Pastor, Teacher, or Leader does is pass the $$$ plate, or tithing bucket, as many use now, then Precious Holy Spirit is not the FIRST priority. Randall, don’t be afraid, Holy Spirit is well able to make the Rocks Cry out, and surly to give you the proper discernment as needed.

The Holy Spirit is welcome in most places…as long as he doesn’t interfere with the sermon we’ve worked on all week…… “We have met the enemy, and he is us”

This article is very emotional to me. It reminds me of a post that says we worry about offending everyone but God. Everything has been turned upside down because we threw the Holy Spirit out and invited the new age in. For years I spoke out about this and i felt like everyone ignored me. Both my son and I suffered a lot and in some ways have lost the fire we had for God and to see him move. Our nation is in the midst of enemies wanting to destroy and bring this nation down and yet we have leaders in the Church who don’t want the Holy Spirit to come in and cause trouble for them. For the life of me I have found it very hard and disturbing that they shut the Spirit up.Now when our nation is barely holding on to it’s life we finally have come back to the simple truth. It’s heartbreaking!
Along with praying for Christ’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, Holy Spirit emphasized what Mario is repeatedly saying!… SALVATIONS’ this is what heaven’s made of! So because I’m currently handicapped & can no longer go… & preach the gospel, go… & lay hands on the sick, go… & prophesy Jesus in their midst as I once was able to do.
