Several 49ers players reportedly knelt for the anthem on Sunday in Indianapolis.
Last year, while a quarterback for the 49ers, Kaepernick sat or kneeled during the national anthem at football games, protesting the police treatment of minorities.
According to a report by Jason La Canfora on Sunday, Kaepernick has been living in New York and working out privately in New Jersey with the hope of signing with a team this season.
Kaepernick kneeled during the national anthem last season to bring more attention to the killings of black men by police officers.

They say they protest because of police brutality against blacks, but I think it’s just because they hate this Country the same way Barack Obama hated this Country and just like the rest of the social justice warriors do. It’s been said that the SJW’s want communism here and they want to try to overturn the government starting November 4th. I believe that’s why they do this protesting during the National Anthem. It’s sad and they all should be ashamed of themselves because what they really hate is the God who this Country was founded on. It’s just more signs of the times and I pray for this Country and this World which belongs to our Lord Jesus!
My prayers have been answered!! When the worst of this NFL protesting became its most acute a few weeks ago, I beseeched Our Lord Christ to please hear my prayer with everything I had in me for days on end. I asked The Savior to please “TAKE THEM DOWN” and I meant that economically. The only knee they at the NFL should be taking is in prayer to The Holy Father in heaven, yet they won’t allow that on the football field. Yes, Sheila A – these misguided are indeed Social Globalists at heart, & in my opinion absolutely opposed to America and everything that it originally stood for particularly the Sovereignty of Christ Jesus at America’s Helm.
For many decades the most anticipated and celebrated thing on Sunday has been the NFL, not the worship of the Lord in church. Maybe this is God’s way of showing Americans how foolish they have been to make a bunch of immoral, mostly Godless, mostly self-centered football athletes the kings of Sundays. My prayer is that we will realize how desperately we need a return to the real King of Sundays, the Lord Jesus Christ and the church experience of worshipping Him on that day. The NFL is no longer on tv at my house.
