IS THIS THE END?

Is this the end? Sure looks like it.  The most rain in American history fell on Houston.  The most intense hurricane ever recorded barreled into Florida—another one is right behind.  The strongest earthquake in a hundred years jolted Mexico—all this in the last few weeks.

Equally terrifying, is the barrage of “prophecies” assaulting the church.  Christians are navigating a minefield of conflicting messages.  I see twin dangers: those who are horror-struck, and those who have become complacent.

There are those who have panicked, and are selling, hoarding and escaping to secret cabins.  Then, there are those who are dulled by a constant stream of false alarms who do nothing to prepare for the days ahead.

Separating fact from fiction is the duty of every disciple of Jesus.

  1. Fact: Global warming has not been proven by science. It is irresponsible to say we have entered a cataclysmic weather cycle. Did you know the middle ages were warmer than today? We don’t hear that because scientists are intimidated to suppress facts that contradict the warming agenda.  Weather has been like this before. It has been even worse.

Scaring people makes money, and is a great way to control nations.  Some of the most outspoken warmers are jaw-dropping hypocrites.  Al Gore owns an energy guzzling house, flits around in SUVs and exhaust spewing jets, enlarging his carbon footprint, while he orders you to sacrifice.

Yes, the weather is crazy.  I am broken hearted over what people are suffering.  But to say that weather is about to destroy the earth—when you have no proof—adds to the fear and suffering.

  1. Fact: Any preacher who sets a date for the end of the world is in error. Jesus said, “Matthew 24:36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” Period.

Don’t get me wrong, there are some sincere good men who are teaching about September 23rd but still, it’s unscriptural to set a date.

On the other hand, there are misguided preachers who use fear to sell books and as click bait for videos. But let me issue a challenge to you prophets of doom: I want to win souls, so give me your buildings, television equipment, and all of your assets.  If you are right, and the world ends on that day what good will they be to you?

I promise you folks, not one—not even the most avid doomsday prophet—will hand over their wealth.  Hmmm.

  1. Fact: God is judging America. It’s just not the way you think. Climate fury is not judgment on America. But there is a judgment going on…and it’s terrible.  Worse than hurricanes.

If a man defiantly leaps to his death from a tall building thinking he’s Superman—it’s not God judging him, it’s gravity.  America is feeling the consequences of her sin.

Jesus did warn us of global warming so much as the disaster of moral cooling:  Matthew 24:12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.  When love grows cold, a society becomes miserable.  That misery is the judgement.

Our payment for our sins began in earnest in the 1960’s.  When we banned prayer and legalized abortion, our march toward misery began.

Forget hurricanes, we have reaped the whirlwind of wickedness.  It is demonstrated in pandemic addiction, mental illness, racism, and suicide.

Paul nailed it.  He did not say climate would make the end times dangerous—he said it would be man’s moral condition.  2 Timothy 3: 2 “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power.   Note the phrase: For men will be.

America is experiencing the storm surge of sin.

-When a people rebel against God they heap to themselves wicked leaders—leaders who lead them to moral destruction.  For years America has been led by God-hating politicians, vile celebrities, atheistic educators, and demented pop artists.

-Humanism and secular progressivism replaced God in American society turning us into a nation of misery.  Anne Graham said, “We told God to get out—get out of our laws, our government, education, entertainment and even our churches—and like a gentleman, He did.”

All of the places God used to inhabit in our culture became vacant shells—toxic waste dumps.  We lost our power to resist addiction, rage, and every natural emotion.  We became instantly offended by stupid things.

Now we are seeing the final judgment on a culture: Total division—which left unchecked, leads to civil war.

You want the real signs of disaster?  Don’t look to blood moons but the rivers of blood on the streets of Chicago—there’s your sign.  Look at what today’s comedians think is funny—there’s your sign.   Look at the grisly and unspeakable crimes in the headlines —there’s your sign.  Look into the eyes of our children, see the despair and fear of the future—there’s your sign.

Forget hurricanes!  We have reaped the whirlwind of wickedness!

One real part of God’s judgement on America is false preachers.  2 Timothy 4:

“3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.”

The Word of God says end time perversion includes a change in Christians.  Their appetite would change.  They would despise sound teaching in favor of soothing lies that permit them to be immoral.  Such teaching is designed by Satan to seduce, weaken and deceive so that God’s own people would be caught in a trap. It worked.

Repentance is the 2,000-pound elephant in the room.  We talk around it.  We make fun of it.  We are distracted by voices that tantalize us with God’s goodies.  How does telling people they need not repent give them hope? Even when we finally think apocalyptically, it’s not our sin we look at, it’s monster movie signs in the sky.  God help us to confess our sin so we can truly discern the times.

Is this the end of the world…well, I have plans for September 24th–not cancelling them.  Is this the end of the world? It is, not because of weather but because we did not repent.

I went to church today and came out feeling grieved. I pray constantly that the Holy Spirit would fall on my Baptist church — Yet my husband says that God will not do what people resist. Remember the book, “Like A Mighty Wind” written by Mel Torrie? Those people (back in the day in Indonesia) didn’t know about the Holy Spirit either…but the H.S. swept through their mainline church just the same.

As you point out, God’s judgment is found in everything we see around us. Oddly, it seems our church is sort of tone deaf…they don’t seem to be discerning the days we live in. Repentance is not taught. If I say the word, “repentance” oft times I’m asked, “What do you mean?”

Please keep me in your prayers as I do pass out a great tract that speaks of the End Times and I get to tell others about Jesus and His prophecies of long ago.
Thank you Mario for all you do…and your heart for the Lord and for outreach.
    Please pray for me…

Oh Mario, You are the preacher for this hour in America!!
What you wrote here is SO correct and right on! YES, YES, this is indeed why we’re experiencing such seemingly devastating effects. My Husband keeps saying that because we’ve proclaimed to be a Christian nation for so many centuries, there are more Believers here than most places and nations, as well as a responsibility remains here in the USA to HONOR that hallowed name ‘Christ’–ian, & not to dishonor the ministry of Christ as Apostle Paul so often admonished. We perceive that AP-Peter’s words are what’s been engaged now in this time, in this hour, in these United States,
“For the time has come for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who disobey the gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous is saved with difficulty, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner? 1Peter 4:17, 18
